About the program:

In light of the ongoing economic challenges facing Turkiye, a substantial segment of the population is grappling with the harsh reality of meeting even their most basic needs. Recognizing this pressing issue, a One Team program has been created by Bahçesehir College Istanbul that is dedicated to supporting children from economically disadvantaged families, ensuring they can partake in the joys and benefits of sports.

The Bahçeşehir basketball team, together with the SEY Foundation, operates under the umbrella of Bahçeşehir-Uğur Educational Institutions, one of Turkiye's largest educational organizations. Its aim is to promote the main values of cooperation, inclusion, resilience and teamwork that will help children with economic problems throughout a complete program full of different activities.

The One Team program will feature many sessions, each lasting two hours and held at two prominent locations: Sinan Erdem Dome and the Maltepe Training Center. Under the guidance of experienced coaches and an instructor from the SEY Foundation, along with the invaluable support of volunteers, Bahçesehir will create an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere for all of the participants involved. Through this initiative, an inclusive environment will be created where children can thrive and develop essential life skills to reintegrate into society.

The participants will also have the opportunity to inspire their peers, demonstrating that determination can lead to positive change. By sharing their experiences and newfound love for sports, these children will become beacons of hope, encouraging others in similar circumstances to pursue their passions.
