**About the program:** 

Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse is entering the third year of its collaboration with its social partner Adapei de l’Ain, a center which offers specialized education and care for children and teenagers with intellectual disabilities. This season’s program includes 15 new participants, eight children and seven young adults, from the ADAPEI who will take advantage of Ekinox’s facilities and the know-how of Bourg’s staff to develop their basketball skills, but especially essential personal attributes for their lives: self-confidence, self-esteem, respect, and open-mindedness. The values of sport.  

The club aims to help the group to be independent by working on pushing one’s limits, developing physical and motor skills, ensuring group cohesion and overcoming fears, as well as many other skills. For the young people involved in this project, particularly at this age, the program's goal is to help them learn to be independent. These are individuals who will soon find themselves in the world of work, so it is important to enable them to have the necessary skills to integrate as quickly as possible, despite their handicap. 

Finally, one of the main objectives of the program is to learn about the different emotions through sports, since they play an important role and must be treated and developed.
