**About the Program:**

NINERS Chemnitz’s One Team project leverages the club's role as a social actor in Chemnitz's diverse Sonnenberg district to deliver a low-threshold basketball program targeting youth from multicultural and socially challenged communities.

Partnering with one primary school and three kindergartens, the collaboration benefits the club by fostering connections with local social development leaders for sustained community impact. The program’s core goals are to ensure all children, irrespective of background or finances, access sports and physical activity; enhance social inclusion by uniting kids from varied cultural and socioeconomic groups; link schools, clubs, youth centers, and local entities for coordinated, long-term initiatives; and instill values like teamwork, fairness, discipline, and resilience to support personal development. Fun drives participation, with retention ensured through engaging sessions, an autograph event with One Team Ambassador Kostja Mushidi, and incentives like diplomas or game tickets for consistent attendance. Promotion includes recording content during a dedicated One Team Media Day, featuring basketball stations, an All-Star Game with Mushidi, and an autograph session and shared via press officers and local media.
