About the Program:

Bringing together the energy of basketball and the richness of Parisian culture, Paris Basketball’s One Team program alongside Espoir 18 offers young people a unique space to learn, grow, and connect. Rooted in the 18th arrondissement, the initiative uses sport as a tool for social inclusion and personal development, helping participants discover new experiences and strengthen their sense of belonging within their community.

This season’s program involves around 50 participants who take part in activities that take place in local gyms and community centers, include both basketball training and cultural visits to emblematic Parisian sites. Each session is led by youth workers from Espoir 18 and coaches from the Paris Basketball Foundation, ensuring that sporting practice is closely linked to social learning.

Participants also have the chance to attend Paris Basketball games, meet the club’s One Team Ambassadors, Ismael Bako and Justin Robinson, and join special events that reinforce the values of teamwork, respect, and confidence. Attendance and engagement are encouraged through a strong sense of group identity, recognition for commitment, and an end-of-season celebration.

Through this collaboration, Paris Basketball and Espoir 18 aim to strengthen community bonds, open access to culture, and help young people develop essential life skills both on and off the court. By combining sport and culture, the program offers a meaningful pathway for inclusion and empowerment in the heart of Paris.
