About the Program:

Father Martin Luther’s Evangelical Center of Diakonia and Education, established in 1999 by the Wrocław Diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church, focuses on educating children and youth, particularly those with physical and intellectual disabilities, to support their development. Serving individuals aged 7 to 24 from across Poland, the center offers free special education through its Primary School, General Secondary School, Technical Secondary School of Economics, First Level Industry School, and School Preparing for Work. The primary goal of ECDiE is to foster students’ self-confidence by nurturing their individual abilities.

Śląsk Wrocław’s One Team program designed to promote disability equality and enhance social skills among boys and girls aged 10–18 with physical and intellectual disabilities. The program aims to improve participants’ self-confidence, teamwork, respect, and ambition, demonstrating that limitations can be transformed into strengths through basketball. Each week focuses on a specific life skill, such as teamwork, communication, decision-making, empathy and many others. Ambassador Błażej Kulikowski will be attending sessions to inspire participants, fostering an inclusive environment where young people are empowered to overcome social barriers and feel confident in their abilities. To make the experience fun and engaging, the program includes varied drills beyond basketball, for example, meetings with Śląsk Wrocław players, and visits to a Śląsk Wrocław BKT EuroCup home game.
