About the program:
Veolia Towers Hamburg is continuing to integrate its One Team activities into a basketball program called BasKIDball, which is a community initiative between the Innovative Social Work (iSO) and ING as part of the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation. The initiative is run in different locations all over Germany to offer children the chance to participate in an open gym and play basketball while learning social values through sports. Hamburg’s One Team program connects people from diverse cultural backgrounds of distinct ages, giving the possibility to help grow the basketball community and teach life skills such as team building, respect and tolerance by also touching on sportsmanship and fair play. Starting in November 2024, the One Team participants will have their 90-minute practices once a week together with the One Team Coaches, in addition to having extra activities with the other BasKIDball groups, such as trips and alternative sports.
