The French center guides the club to its first-ever NextGen qualifying tournament title
Cameron Houindo takes home MVP in historic first for Cedevita

Cameron Houindo was named the Most Valuable Player of the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm after carrying U18 Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana to the title and securing the club a spot in the NextGen Finals at the EuroLeague Final Four in May in Athens.
Houindo collected 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks and 6 fouls drawn for an index rating of 36 in Cedvita’s 82-73 victory over U18 Mega Super Belgrade in the first-place game. The French center averaged 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.5 blocks for an average PIR of 26.5 in the tournament. Houindo led the tournament in scoring and PIR, ranked third in blocks and seventh in rebounds.
Houindo, who was playing his third NextGen season after two tournaments with U18 Pole France INSEP Paris, was joined on the All-Tournament Team by his teammate Maks Ciperle, Vuk Danilovic of Mega, Teo Milicic from third-place finisher U18 ratiopharm Ulm and Appolinaire Loussavouvou from fourth-place side U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.
Ciperle also had a great first-place game with 29 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks for a PIR of 36. The forward tallied 20.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.8 blocks to average a 26.0 PIR. He finished second in scoring, rebounds, blocks and PIR and seventh in assists.
Danilovic poured in 21 points with 6 rebounds and 1 assist for a PIR of 12 in the first-place game loss to Cedevita. For the tournament, the guard collected 16.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steals for a PIR of 11.0. The Mega guard ranked fifth in scoring.
Milicic had a strong all-around tournament for the home side with 20.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.8 steals and 22.5 PIR. The guard ranked third in scoring, second in assists, fourth in both steals and PIR and eighth in rebounds.
Loussavouvou finished with 14.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.2 blocks for an average PIR of 22.2. The guard was the tournament leader in assists, ranked second in steals, fifth in PIR, sixth in blocks and ninth in scoring.
