“We need to set the tone of the game, especially on the road,” [Mfiondu Kabengele](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mfiondu-kabengele/012796/) proclaimed before his [Dubai Basketball](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/dubai-basketball/dub/) team met [Paris Basketball](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/paris-basketball/prs/) at Adidas Arena on Thursday.

His teammates followed through on his wish, exploding out of the gates to earn a sizable lead in the opening minutes and never surrendering it, eventually securing the 79-99 victory.

“The guys came prepared,” Kabengele stated afterward. “We knew they were down a couple of guys, but the guys came aggressive in the first quarter, second quarter, second half and we kept applying pressure, which is why we were able to stay in the lead.”

The visitors kept their foot on the gas throughout, widening the margin throughout the first half through intense defense and widely-spread scoring effort, eventually taking a 20-point lead into the break. Though Francesco Tabellini’s men stepped up the effort level in the second half, they couldn’t quite find a realistic avenue into the contest. Dubai moved the ball selflessly and shot fearlessly down the stretch, finally securing the 20-point victory.

“We were aggressive from the beginning, tried to play aggressive defense for the whole 40 minutes,” said Petrusev. “We had to make some tough shots. We were successful for the most part of the game and that’s why we got the win.”

Kabengele also made a significant impact, recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. However, Dubai’s biggest asset was its excellent team work. As a team, it recorded 26 assists, led by [Aleksa Avramovic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/aleksa-avramovic/003983/)'s 7. “It was a good team environment, which is something to strive for on a daily basis,” said Kabengele.

Coach Gulemac was proud with his team for harnessing the energy of the Parisian fans and fighting for the win.

“Great success for us,” Gulemac shared. “We respect Paris a lot and know how talented they are. The home crowd’s energy is crazy, but we matched it. The guys were great today, very focused and didn’t give anything for free and that’s why it’s this result.”

[Facundo Campazzo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/facundo-campazzo/005928/) set the tempo from the opening tip, slicing up Monaco’s defense as *Los Blancos* avenged [a five-point loss from Round 18 in the principality](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/monaco-closes-out-2025-with-win-over-real-madrid/). In 25 minutes, the veteran point guard recorded his second double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 assists. His first came, coincidentally, in that earlier loss to Monaco, when he finished with 28 points and 10 assists.

Campazzo’s up-tempo style overwhelmed the visitors early. Real Madrid raced to a 23-9 lead just over seven minutes in and never looked back. Even with Campazzo sitting on 6 points and 5 assists at halftime, Madrid carried a commanding 54-31 advantage into the break.

Monaco showed some life in the third quarter, but every small run seemed to be met with a Campazzo response. Madrid still led 71-53 after 30 minutes, and with [Theo Maledon](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/theo-maledon/007027/) unavailable after the first quarter, the playmaking burden fell squarely on Campazzo’s shoulders.

When Monaco trimmed the deficit to nine at 77-68 late in the fourth, Campazzo showcased his magic once again. After dancing with [Elie Okobo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/elie-okobo/011212/) on the perimeter, he kicked out to [Trey Lyles](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/trey-lyles/014117/) for a wing three that restored a 14-point cushion and settled the building. [Nikola Mirotic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nikola-mirotic/000796/) answered with a triple of his own, but Campazzo again attacked Okobo off the dribble, finishing through contact to make it 84-71.

From there, Real Madrid leaned on its experience – and its point guard – to close it out, improving to 16-8 on the season.

Lyles led all scorers with 20 points and added 7 rebounds, while [Edy Tavares](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/walter-tavares/005791/) posted a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double. [Mario Hezonja](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mario-hezonja/003108/) chipped in 12 points, and [Usman Garuba](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/usman-garuba/007630/) continued his strong form with 11. The depth of Real Madrid’s offensive options remains daunting for the rest of the league.

Scariolo, however, pointed to one area that still needs attention: free throws. Real Madrid missed 11 from the line, allowing Monaco to linger longer than it should have.

“We missed tons of free throws, and that was probably the main reason we didn’t keep the advantage as big as in the first half,” Scariolo told EuroLeague TV. “This is a championship team – great coach, great players – so we knew they were going to respond.

“We also missed Theo Maledon, who got injured. In those situations, he’s very good at controlling the tempo and attacking the paint, like we did in the first half. In the second half we didn’t attack the paint as well, but our defense held its ground and kept them at a safe distance, which was important for the point difference, too.”

Defense, quietly, has been trending in the right direction for Real Madrid. Over its last three games, it has held FC Barcelona to 61 points, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan to 77, and Monaco to 78.

“If we just continue our defensive energy and effort, we can win games on the road,” Lyles said. “Our next four are on the road, so it’s going to be a big test. We know we can score – we have so many weapons – so it’s going to be about defense.”

That road stretch begins with games against Paris Basketball, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, Dubai Basketball and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. Should Real Madrid navigate it successfully, it could find itself right on the heels of league leader Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, which still has a game in hand.

Campazzo was clear about the bigger picture.

“This was a big win for us,” he said. “This is one of the top teams in the EuroLeague, and we played with a lot of motivation. We want to improve as a team because we want to be in the Final Four and we want to win the title. That’s our goal.”

For Monaco, it was a frustrating end to a double-round week. The club entered at 15-7 and second in the standings but now sits 15-9 and sixth after back-to-back losses.

Vladimir Lucic and Neno Dimitrijevic led FC Bayern Munich to a 93 87 win over Valencia Basket, delivering season high performances as Bayern bounced back from its loss to Partizan.

Two days after falling 63‑69 at home to Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, [FC Bayern Munich](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/fc-bayern-munich/mun/) returned to SAP Arena with a completely different look, defeating [Valencia Basket](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/valencia-basket/pam/) 93‑87 in a free‑flowing, high‑scoring matchup. Head coach Svetislav Pesic, who led Valencia to its last EuroLeague Playoffs berth in 2011, leaned heavily on former Valencia players [Neno Dimitrijevic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/neno-dimitrijevic/006085/) and [Vladimir Lucic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/vladimir-lucic/001288/) to spark the response.

Dimitrijevic has been Bayern's main point guard since his arrival earlier this month and had a strong performance against Valencia, finishing the game with season-highs of 12 points and 7 assists against just 1 turnover for a PIR of 16 off the bench. He scored back-to-back baskets late in the game to help Bayern seal the outcome, 89-78 with over 3 minutes remaining.

Lucic has deeper roots with Valencia; he played there for three seasons and helped the team win its third EuroCup title in 2014. He had a strong start and led Bayern to a 53-44 halftime lead with outstanding numbers. Before the break, Lucic had 13 points on 6-of-6 free throw shooting, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 fouls drawn for a PIR of 21. He finished with 19 points and a PIR of 26, both season-highs.

This was not the first time that Lucic had a great game against Valencia. He posted a career-high PIR of 35 on November 13, 2020, when he led Bayern to a 90-79 victory with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn.

After the game, Lucic stressed out the importance of bouncing back after an underwhelming performance on Tuesday night.

"The goal was to stop Valencia's transition game. I have been there, spent three years there and had a chance to be coached by Pedro \[Martinez\]. And I think that the team really fits perfect to his style. So we did a pretty good job stopping \[their\] transition," Lucici said. "We tried to bounce back after the defeat. We had two days here just trying to recover a little bit and go to the next one."

Once again, [Justinian Jessup](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/justinian-jessup/013290/) played a big role off the bench. In just 18 minutes, Jessup had 16 points and 3 rebounds for a PIR of 19. Over the last six games, Jessup has averaged 13.8 points on 77.3% two-point and 53.8% three-point shooting and a PIR of 16.0.

"Super important win. Valencia is obviously a very good team, so for us to come out with a lot of energy, a lot of effort, execute the game plan and come away with the win, it was big," Jessup said. "We got guys that can shoot the three ball really well. And also, I would say versatile players: Zay \[Isiaha Mike\], Andy \[Obst\], Lucha \[Vladimir Lucic\] all can do multiple things on the court, as well as Neno \[Dimitrijevic\]. They definitely showed it tonight and helped us get the win."

Bayern struggled from beyond the arc against Partizan, making just 7 of 27 three-point shots with elite shooter [Andreas Obst](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/andreas-obst/004508/) sidelined by illness. Coach Pesic's team proved not to depend on Obst's shooting as much as people think. Even though Obst when 1 of 7 from downtown against Valencia, his teammates combined to make 8 of 20 three-pointers (40% 3FG) to get the win. Power forward [Isiaha Mike](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/isiaha-mike/011836/), who had a PIR of -10 against Partizan, bounced back with 14 points on 3-of-6 three-point shooting, 6 rebounds and 3 assists for a PIR of 14. Bayern finished the game with twice as many assists (24) as turnovers (12) and a season-high PIR of 119.

Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv continued its perfect home record since returning to Menora Mivtachim Arena, defeating Panathinaikos 75–71 in a defensive battle that marked a major shift from the team’s usual offensive style. With Roman Sorkin and Tamir Blatt stepping up and the defense holding firm, Maccabi earned its tenth win of the season and boosted its playoff hopes.

[Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/maccabi-rapyd-tel-aviv/tel/)’s usual recipe for success is explosive offense, with an average of 94.8 points per game during the Israeli team’s nine victories ahead of Thursday’s meeting with [Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/panathinaikos-aktor-athens/pan/).

And that kind of offensive output has generally been necessary, because Maccabi has been afflicted by defensive problems throughout the season, allowing an average of 92.5 points per game – the second-worst in the EuroLeague.

But this time it was different.

Maccabi boosted its postseason challenge on Thursday night in an unfamiliar fashion, grabbing its tenth win of the season with a 75-71 victory over the Greens that owed very little to free-flowing offense and nearly everything to the grittier qualities of hard work and hustle.

It was by far Maccabi’s lowest winning points tally of the season (previously 83 points on the road at Zalgiris Kaunas in Round 14), and the team total of 10 assists was less than half its season average of 20.3. Maccabi could only convert 9 of its 33 three-point attempts (27.3%), and its 18 converted two-pointers was also well below the team average of 20.9 per night.

Nevertheless, those modest offensive numbers were compensated by a determined and disciplined defensive effort that never allowed Panathinaikos to gather any momentum – aside from a 0-7 burst at the very start of the game before Maccabi had found its defensive rhythm. From then on, it was an exceptionally close and physically contested game, which saw neither team hold a lead of more than 5 points at any stage during the last 26 minutes.

True, Maccabi led throughout the fourth quarter after starting the period with a 6-0 burst – but that doesn’t mean it was easy. The hosts could never find the offensive flow required to make the game safe, and Panathinaikos had opportunities to go ahead after pulling it back to 73-71 inside the last 2 minutes. But long-range shots from [TJ Shorts](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tj-shorts/012608/), [Kostas Sloukas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kostas-sloukas/001926/) and [Jerian Grant](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/jerian-grant/011204/) would not drop, and [Iffe Lundberg](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/iffe-lundberg/010781/) sealed the deal from the foul line.

The hard-fought triumph – which also came with a bit of fortune via those late missed shots by the Greens, some of which were wide open – means that Maccabi is now a perfect 3-0 at Menora Mivtachim Arena after returning to its home floor last month, and the opportunity to play in front of its famously loud and loyal fans clearly makes Oded Kattash’s men an entirely different proposition.

“We really missed playing here,” admitted forward [Roman Sorkin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/roman-sorkin/011219/), who powered his team’s efforts with 13 points and 8 rebounds. “Every night we play here, it’s amazing energy and an amazing atmosphere. We’re happy to play here, and it just means more to us to play at home.”

Those views were echoed by [Tamir Blatt](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tamir-blatt/011193/), who scored all his 15 points from long range as he converted a personal best 5 of his 6 three-point attempts in an isolated example of offensive efficiency.

“The energy in the arena was unbelievable,” said the playmaker. “We’re blessed to have these fans pushing us, and we’re enjoying this kind of atmosphere.”

Fans can only do so much, of course, and coach Kattash emphasized the defensive work undertaken by his players.

“Great effort,” Kattash noted. “In the second half, defensively we stepped up, and that was a team effort. It wasn’t always nice, especially offensively – we could do better. But still, we were fighting, we stuck to the game plan and I like the effort. We had a specific game plan against Kostas Sloukas and we did a good job on him.”

The win keeps Maccabi hoping that it can recover from its terrible 2-8 start and climb all the way into the playoff places, but Kattash certainly wasn’t getting carried away as he concluded: “Every game we have to keep improving and be better for our next challenges.”

Olympiacos Piraeus ended a nine-year winless run in Istanbul by defeating Anadolu Efes 74–68 on Thursday night. Behind early scoring bursts from Sasha Vezenkov and Tyler Dorsey and a commanding all‑around performance from Thomas Walkup, the Reds controlled the first half, survived an Efes comeback, and secured their fourth straight victory to remain unbeaten in 2026.

Olympiacos rides momentum to break the curse with win at Efes

It was back in 2017 when [Olympiacos Piraeus](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/olympiacos-piraeus/oly/) got its last taste of victory away at [Anadolu Efes Istanbul](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/anadolu-efes-istanbul/ist/). From that team led by current AS Monaco coach Vassilis Spanoulis, only [Kostas Papanikolaou](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kostas-papanikolaou/001255/) and [Nikola Milutinov](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nikola-milutinov/003941/) are in this Olympiacos roster, with the latter having missed out on Thursday’s game due to concussion.

From that April night nine years ago, Efes would go on to celebrate seven straight home victories against Olympiacos. That drought would finally come to an end with a 68-74 win on Thursday night, but the Reds didn’t have it easy for yet another time in front of a sold-out crowd at Turkcell Basketball Development Center.

Riding their momentum, coach Georgios Bartzokas’s side got off to a great start, with [Tyler Dorsey](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tyler-dorsey/009849/) hitting back-to-back triples for a 0-8 run to open the first quarter. Eager to finally break the curse, Olympiacos didn’t take its foot off the gas, as [Sasha Vezenkov](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/sasha-vezenkov/003469/) scored 12 of his team's points for a 13-25 cushion after 10 minutes.

[Donta Hall](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/donta-hall/011196/) netted 8 off the bench, with [Tyson Ward](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tyson-ward/012610/) pitching in with 6 of his own, as the visitors opened a 31-48 lead at halftime thanks to solid defense and playing their signature free-flowing basketball on the other end of the floor.

Despite its poor recent form, Efes had no intention of going down without a fight. The hosts tightened up their defense and held one of EuroLeague’s finest offenses to just 10 points in the third quarter.

An inspired [Saben Lee](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/saben-lee/013389/) brought the energy from the bench against his former team, netting a layup in traffic before hitting a triple to bring the hosts within 61-63 midway through the fourth quarter. But a timeout from Bartzokas served as a wake-up call for the guests, who responded with a 0-8 run for a double-digit advantage.

[Thomas Walkup](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/thomas-walkup/008855/) unlocked Efes’s defense with a tough triple before buckets from Vezenkov and Dorsey made it 61-71 with less than 2 minutes to go.

The absences of both [Frank Ntilikina](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/frank-ntilikina/006591/) and [Monte Morris](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/monte-morris/014212/) due to their respective injuries saw Walkup stay on the floor for over 33 minutes and he was sublime throughout. The veteran guard recorded 9 assists and 4 rebounds along with a steal and 6 points – including the aforementioned clutch triple.

In fact, Walkup seems to have found his range from deep recently, having made 8-for-11 from beyond the arc over the last three games after shooting just 23% in the first 21 rounds.

“With the roster that we’ve built, it’s super easy to play as a point guard,” a humble Walkup told EuroLeague TV. “Everybody can score, everybody can shoot. The ball just really flows, so I think not just myself but the whole team is in a great rhythm right now.”

Indeed, Olympiacos has won four straight and seven of its last eight games, remaining undefeated in 2026. Ghosts of the past came back to hunt the Reds in the second half against Efes, but they managed to keep their composure and closed the game to complete a perfect double-round week.

“Winning over here is really important,” Bartzokas said. “Every game in the EuroLeague, especially on the road, is really important.”

What lies ahead for Olympiacos is a demanding clash against FC Barcelona, which crushed the Reds 98-85 at Palau Blaugrana back in early December. However, the landscape looks very different right now for the Greek side, which will look to benefit from its momentum to seek revenge on home soil.

Izundu led Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade to a 96-100 overtime victory over AS Monaco with 22 points on 9-of-11 two-pointers and 4-of-4 free throws, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block and 5 fouls drawn for a PIR of 36, a new personal-best mark and the highest in Round 23, all in less than 22 minutes on the floor.

He finished the game with 28 points on 4-of-6 two-pointers, 6-of-8 three-pointers and 2-of-2 free throws, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 fouls drawn.

[McKinley Wright](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mckinley-wright-iv/012606/) of Dubai Basketball and [Carsen Edwards](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/carsen-edwards/011987/) of Virtus Bologna, each with a PIR of 30, complete the top performances in Round 23. Wright posted a PIR of 30 as Dubai Basketball fell 91-89 to FC Barcelona. Milutinov’s absence should see an increase in playing time for ex-Efes center Tyrique Jones, who made his Olympiacos debut earlier this week with 6 points in 7 minutes. Maccabi (9-14) will look to boost its playoffs ambitions by overcoming Panathinaikos (14-9) in Tel Aviv. The home team is sweating on the fitness of Lonnie Walker, while captain John DiBartolomeo is definitely missing. Leading scorer Kendrick Nunn’s ongoing absence didn’t prevent Panathinaikos from comfortably overcoming Baskonia earlier this week, when summer signing Vassilis Toliopoulos marked his long-awaited return from injury by pouring in 21 points with 5 three-pointers. Maccabi also welcomed back a long-term injury absentee earlier this week, with Jeff Dowtin providing 15 points in the narrow loss at Olympiacos. The host will look for Roman Sorkin to set the tone by dominating his inside battle with Juancho Hernangomez, who has made multiple triples in three of the last four games.

### EA7 Emporio Armani Milan vs. Zalgiris Kaunas (20:30 CET)

Inconsistent Milan (11-12) will look to bounce back to winning ways and climb closer to the top ten by overcoming direct rival Zalgiris (13-10). Dynamic guard Leandro Bolmaro is a game-time decision for the host, which needs a major defensive improvement after allowing 106 points to lose in Madrid on Tuesday. Zalgiris arrives with plenty of confidence after taking an emphatic road win from ASVEL on Tuesday, when big man Moses Wright again demonstrated his inside power with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Valencia (15-8) will look to strengthen its top four challenge by completing perfect week with a win at Bayern (8-15). The host will hope to welcome back key guards Stefan Jovic and Andreas Obst after they missed Tuesday’s home loss to Partizan, which saw the German team desperately struggle offensively. There are no such problems for Valencia, which has a fully available roster and delivered a solid all-round performance to down Paris two days ago. A big battle between two of the four teams tied for third place will see Real (15-8) seek another home win against Monaco (15-8). Los Blancos improved its record in Madrid to 11-1 by comfortably downing Milan on Tuesday, while Monaco will need to find fresh reserves of energy after a home overtime loss to Crvena Zvezda the same night. Real’s size and strength – epitomised by Walter Tavares – is reflected in league-leading stats in blocks (4.1 per game) and defensive rebounds (25.9), so visiting star Nikola Mirotic faces a major challenge in the paint against his former team. Monaco won an exciting meeting in December, 100-95, behind 22 points from Elie Okobo, and managed to snare 17 offensive rebounds on that occasion, so Real will look to recover its usual toughness as it targets the double prize of victory plus head-to-head advantage.

### Paris Basketball vs. Dubai Basketball (21:00 CET)

Paris (7-15) needs to boost its fading playoffs ambitions by overcoming direct rival Dubai (10-13). New signing Bruno Caboclo could make his debut to reinforce Dubai’s interior, while Dzanan Musa will continue his comeback after marking his first appearance since Round 3 with 5 points in Tuesday’s narrow loss at Barcelona. The battle for backcourt dominance will feature two players coming off great performances despite defeat: Paris playmaker Justin Robinson had 14 points and 9 assists at Valencia, while Dubai’s McKinley Wright drained 29 points on 11-of-15 field goal shooting in Barcelona – Wright’s 24 points were key to Dubai’s thrilling 90-89 win over Paris in November. High-flying Fenerbahce (15-7) is looking to strengthen its position in the top four as it welcomes road strugglers Baskonia (8-15). The reigning champ will hope to welcome back Wade Baldwin and Brandon Boston after they missed Wednesday’s win at Virtus, while Baskonia is expected to be without long-range shooting threats Markus Howard and Markquis Nowell. Fener’s midweek victory – its sixth in seven games – came courtesy of a career night from Talen Horton-Tucker, netting 28 points on 4-of-5 three-point shooting. But the hosts will continue to base its gameplan on the league’s stingiest defense, allowing just 79.8 points per game. Partizan (7-16) will attempt to continue its resurgence by upsetting league leader Hapoel (16-6) in a game taking place in Munich. The absence of Duane Washington, Shake Milton and Vanja Marinkovic did not prevent Partizan from grabbing a defensively-dominant victory at Bayern on Tuesday, and staying in the same city could help the Serbian team deliver a similarly strong performance to snap Hapoel’s three-game winning run. Crvena Zvezda (13-10) is targeting a second road win of the week as it travels for a key matchup with direct rival Virtus (11-12). The Serbian team will need to dig deep into its energy supplies after a hard-earned overtime win in Monaco on Tuesday, dominated by a big double-double from Ebuka Izundu (22 points, 12 boards). Lowly ASVEL (6-17) will attempt to climb away from the foot of the standings by upsetting Barcelona (15-8). The host will hope scoring star Glynn Watson can return from injury, while new signing Braian Angolo is set for his debut. Kasim had the following lineup: Sasha Vezenkov of Olympiacos Piraeus as team captain, then Zalgiris Kaunas duo of Sylvain Francisco and Moses Wright, Valencia Basket's Kameron Taylor and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul's Talen Horton Tucker as his other starters. Seban Lee of Anadolu Efes Istanbul was his sixth man. Kasim's bench players were Edwin Jackson of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Nick Calathes of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Kevarrius Hayes of AS Monaco and Alberto Abalde of Real Madrid. Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens play-caller Ergin Ataman was Kasim's head coach.

Olympiacos stretched its winning streak to four games by beating Efes 68-74 in front of a sold-out crowd at Turkcell Basketball Development Center in Istanbul. Fresh off a home victory over Maccabi on Tuesday, Olympiacos opened the game with a 0-8 run before pulling away in the second quarter for a 31-48 lead at halftime.

The hosts bounced back, tightened up their defense and held the guests to just 10 points in the third quarter before 5 straight points from former Olympiacos guard Saben Lee brought Efes within 61-63 midway through the fourth. The Reds fought back and went on a 0-8 run to practically put the game to bed.

Having grabbed its first victory at Efes since 2017, Olympiacos improved its record to 15-8. Meanwhile, the Turkish side suffered its eighth straight defeat, dropping to 6-18. Sasha Vezenkov led all scorers with 19 points, while Tyler Dorsey and Evan Fournier had 11 each, with Thomas Walkup recording 9 assists. PJ Dozier paced his team with 16 points and Lee bagged 13.

Maccabi outlasted Panathinaikos 75-71 in a tight contest at Menora Mivtachim Arena. Jerian Grant scored 5 points in a 0-7 start for the Greens, but three quick scores from Roman Sorkin gave Maccabi its first lead, 15-14. Vassilis Toliopoulos led Panathinaikos back in front, 20-21, at the end of the first. The same back-and-forth pattern continued in the second quarter with neither team taking control, and Maccabi led at the break, 42-39. 

Baskets were evenly traded in the third period, which ended with the visitors ahead, 59-60. Although Maccabi went ahead with a 6-0 run it remained very tight and Panathinaikos had late shots to win it, but they were all missed and the hosts held on.

Iffe Lundberg paced the host with 16 points, with Tamir Blatt netting 5 triples for his 15 points, and Sorkin paired 13 points with 8 rebounds. TJ Shorts orchestrated Panathinaikos’s offense with 13 points and 7 assists, while Grant led the visitors in scoring with 14. Nikos Rogkavopulos scored 13, and Richaun Holmes added 11. Maccabi improves to 10-14 and is now 3-0 at Menora Mivtachim Arena, while Panathinaikos drops to 14-10.

Zalgiris grinded out an 82-86 win at Milan after trailing for much of the contest and playing catch-up against the home team to string together two successive wins for the first time since early November. It was also a fourth straight victory for Zalgiris at Milan. Sylvain Francisco emerged as the visiting team’s hero after racking up 25 points and 6 assists, outshining home favorite Shavon Shields who amassed 27 points, 5 boards and 4 assists.

Milan produced a 14-2 run in the third quarter which turned a 6-pont deficit into a 62-56 lead, but Zalgiris hit back in crunch time as the visitors sank clutch three-pointers to wipe out a 74-70 deficit and turn it into a 76-80 advantage, with Maodo Lo sinking 2 of those shots from downtown.

Lo added 17 points for Zalgiris, Arnas Butkevicius chipped in with 11 while big man Moses Wright amassed 10 and 6 boards as Zalgiris improved to 14-10. Josh Nebo and Marko Guduric sank 12 points apiece for Milan, the latter also collecting 11 boards, while Zach LeDay scored 10 points for the home team, which dropped to 11-13.

In a fun-to-watch, run-and-gun showdown, Bayern returned to winning ways by downing Valencia 93-89 at SAP Garden. Bayern improved to 9-15 in the standings while Valencia dropped to 15-9. Two days after registering a 63-67 home loss against Partizan, Bayern scored over 90 points for the fourth time this season.

Vladimir Lucic led the winners with 19 points on 10-of-10 free-throw shooting. Justinian Jessup added 16 off the bench, Isiaha Mike scored 14 and Andreas Obst and Neno Dimitrijevic each had 12 for Bayern, which kept a safe lead throughout the first half to seal the outcome minutes before the final buzzer. Kameron Taylor paced Valencia with 20 points. Jean Montero netted 13, Nate Reuvers 12 and Brancou Badio 10 for the visitors, who registered their third loss in the last four games.

Real Madrid notched its sixth win in a row after holding off a late Monaco fightback to triumph 90-78. Facundo Campazzo was the architect of the victory, causing problems for Monaco all night long and finishing with a 17-point, 10-assist double-double. An added bonus for Real Madrid is that its 12-point win means it now has the tie-break advantage over Monaco, which downed *Los Blancos* by 5 in Round 18. This was not a good week for Monaco, though, as it followed up its home loss to Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade by losing in Madrid.

Trey Lyles joined Campazzo in double figures in scoring with 20 points, in addition to pulling down 7 rebounds. Edy Tavares had a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, Mario Hezonja netted 12 points, and Usman Garuba poured in 11. Mike James led Monaco in scoring with 19 points, followed by Nikola Mirotic with 15, and Matthew Strazel and Daniel Theis with 12 apiece.

Dubai comfortably overwhelmed Paris, leaving Adidas Arena with a 79-99 victory. In just the second official meeting between the teams, Jurica Golemac’s team raced out to a convincing lead in the opening minutes and refused the surrender it throughout. The hosts snapped a two-game losing streak to move to 11-13 and give them a lifeline in the race for playoff basketball, while Paris falls to 7-16.

Dubai spread the offensive load tremendously, with five players scoring in double figures. Center Filip Petrusev put on the headline performance with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Mfiondu Kabengele also made a significant impact, recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Dzanan Musa, in his second game back from a lengthy injury layoff, added 13 points in 15 minutes. Jared Rhoden led the way for Paris with 19 points and Justin Robinson tallied 13 points and 5 assists.

The visitor showed it can also rely on smothering defense by holding Efes to 66 points earlier this week, helped by Dan Oturu powering the paint with 8 points and 10 boards. Oturu will look to dominate Partizan’s recent signing Tonye Jekiri, who also grabbed 8 rebounds earlier this week, and this could well become a gruelling, physical encounter.
