"I think we’re doing quite well. Physically, the team is in good shape. Mentally, we’re very strong. Obviously, these are somewhat “island” games – games that begin and end on their own and carry weight by themselves, regardless of the rest of the schedule. We don’t ignore that. "Yes, we’re doing well. We were able to get a little rest on Monday, which we hadn’t been able to do for a while, and now we’re ready to face this game and prepare for it step by step. We have practice today and another one tomorrow morning. Without a doubt, it’s a major challenge – going back there and winning twice in a row is very, very difficult \[after winning in Madrid in the Spanish League on January 4\] – but I think we’ll be ready to try. We know the extraordinary quality Real Madrid has and how tough it will be in the EuroLeague. What we can say for sure is that we’re going there to win. We’ll give it everything we’ve got. "In theory, Real Madrid scores on everyone, so if you want to beat them, you have to play very well offensively. No matter how defensive you want to be, it’s very difficult, because their quality and their ability to score in both defended and less-defended situations is extremely high. They punish almost any mistake you make. So it feels like if we want to win, we’ll have to score – and do so efficiently on offense. But you never know. Sometimes games get bogged down because you have one bad quarter, and that alone brings the scoring down. Against Partizan at home we finished with 88 points because we scored only 13 in the first quarter. Once you have a quarter like that, you’re not getting to 90. It depends on things like that. Maybe there’s a quarter where neither team really gets going. But in general, it looks like the game should be in the 90–100 point range.

"\[Edy\] Tavares, \[Facundo\] Campazzo, \[Mario\] Hezonja and \[Trey\] Lyles all create so many mismatches that it’s hard to single out just one, but without a doubt Tavares is a player who impacts everything, both defensively and offensively. Him, Campazzo, and then Mario Hezonja along with Lyles are probably the four main scorers. But if you lose focus one day, \[Theo\] Maledon can hurt you, or \[Sergio\] Llull can come in and light it up, or any other player. We’re talking about a true top-tier team, a very deep roster, with all players fully usable – and, as far as I know, all healthy. So we have to be ready for anything. Still, Tavares is a game-changing player."

"We’re feeling good. We had the whole week to prepare, and we were able to rest a little on Monday, so I think we’re ready. I’ve already played in a lot of these games, but it’s always special. It’s not just about the fact that I didn’t play in this particular one before \[in the Spanish League on January 4\] – this game is always motivating. Of course, it’s not easy. They’ve beaten us there many times, so we know we have work to do if we want to win there again. We have to stay focused for all 40 minutes and stick to the game plan. On Thursday night, though, it was Monaco’s defense that decided the outcome.

Defense delivers as Monaco grinds out road win over Paris

Everybody knows about the offensive firepower of [AS Monaco](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/as-monaco/mco/). Against Paris Basketball, a team it torched for 125 points earlier this season in a EuroLeague record for a non-overtime game, that reputation would normally take center stage. On Thursday night, though, it was Monaco’s defense that decided the outcome.

Monaco left Adidas Arena with an 87-95 win, led by [Mike James](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mike-james/005985/)’s 23 points. James set the tone early, scoring a club-record 17 points in the first quarter, but from there the visitors leaned increasingly on their defensive identity.

[Alpha Diallo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/alpha-diallo/011226/) and Jaron Blossomgame controlled the perimeter, limiting Paris to a season-low 19 three-point attempts and just 7 makes from deep, its second-lowest figure in 2025-26. Diallo – who continues to build a strong case to be named the EuroLeague Best Defender, [an award several GMs expect him to win](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/inside-the-euroleague-gms-mid-season-survey/) – was instrumental. Inside, [Kevarrius Hayes](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kevarrius-hayes/010390/) and [Daniel Theis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/daniel-theis/004132/) protected the rim, denying Paris the easy finishes that fuel its pace and confidence.

“I made some shots early that got us going,” James told EuroLeague TV afterward. “On the road, you want to calm the game down a bit. I think that helped us settle into the rest of the game.”

Monaco led for the final 35 minutes, though Paris briefly drew level twice – at 27-27 in the second quarter and 59-59 in the third. Each time, Monaco answered immediately, turning Paris turnovers into timely offense.

Diallo delivered one of the game’s defining plays late, stepping in to draw a charge from [Nadir Hifi](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nadir-hifi/012640/) – who picked up his fifth foul in the process – that effectively sealed the result. Still, he acknowledged how difficult these matchups can be.

“Paris is always a tricky game for us,” Diallo said. “You’ve got to keep up with their pace and their style of play. I’m happy we came in and got the job done. We played really good defense and held them to not a lot of threes. We’ve just got to keep that going.”

Head coach Vassilis Spanoulis echoed that sentiment, pointing first to Monaco’s work on the arc.

“Except for a couple of threes by Hifi, we did a great job in the first half,” Spanoulis commented. “Usually they take 33 or 34 threes – the most in the league – and make the most, or second most. Tonight they took 19 and made 7.”

The rim protection was just as important. Hayes, returning to Adidas Arena after playing there last season, blocked 4 shots, while Theis added 3 more. Together, they discouraged Paris from attacking the paint.

“We protected the rim very well,” Spanoulis said. “The two big guys had 7 blocks. We shared the ball, took care of it and played with the right team mindset.”

For Spanoulis, the performance was another rebuttal to the idea that Monaco is simply an offense-first team.

“We’re a team that plays defense and offense,” he said. “We’re a two-way team, and that’s how we want to be until the end of the season.”

The win extends Monaco’s streak to six, a run that includes road victories at FC Barcelona, Valencia Basket and Paris, along with a home win over Real Madrid. At 15-7, Monaco sits atop the EuroLeague standings – at least for now – as it navigates a demanding stretch of the season with authority.

Paris, meanwhile, is running out of margin. At 7-14 and 17th in the table, it sits well behind Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade (12-10) in the final play-in spot and will need a dramatic late surge to return to the postseason.

Monaco has now won three straight against Paris and swept the season series against the capital club for the first time, but complacency is not part of the message.

“You’ve got to come in with that underdog mentality,” Diallo said. “We weren’t picked to be in the Final Four. We've seen that, and we use it as motivation. I do, for sure.”

The outcome lifted Zvezda to 12-10 while Milan dropped to 11-11 after a rip-roaring dogfight in which Milan looked the more likely winner through three quarters of the matchup. However, Zvezda stormed back in the fourth, driven by big performances in the last 10 minutes of the game from [Jared Butler](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/jared-butler/014163/) and [Nikola Kalinic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nikola-kalinic/004866/), with the latter’s defensive heroics inspiring free-flowing offense as the visitors dominated the final period 14-34.

Zvezda bounced back from a pair of crushing defeats at Zalgiris Kaunas (99-67) and at home to Valencia Basket (89-106), with its porous first half defense suggesting another drubbing was in the making as Milan led 55-44 at the interval. However, trailing 82-70 at the end of the third quarter, Zvezda flipped the script with a 1-15 run early in the fourth and had more in the tank in the last few minutes, showing nerves of steel to delight its travelling contingent of away fans. 

“Basketball is like life. Sometimes you’re down in the first half and you’ve got to keep believing in yourself,” said Butler. “Sometimes you can’t even look at the score, but tonight we did a good job for our team. The biggest thing for us is to believe in ourselves and what we are doing,” he added.

Head coach Sasa Obradovic attributed the win to his team showing mettle and character when the chips were down. “The result was not in our favor, but we didn’t stop playing,” the tactician said. “We won this game thanks to great character and this is how it’s supposed to work for us.

“As a coach you should always give some good vibrations to your team and we found a good connection. Milan played with great confidence in the first half, but the fourth quarter is what we will take from this game as an example of the way we should play.”

Milan head coach Peppe Poeta was disappointed after seeing his team spill the goods acquired in a pair of wins at home over Anadolu Efes Istanbul and particularly on the road against champs Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens.

“We played three good quarters, but it’s not enough, you’ve got to play four against good teams,” he said. “We had a bad fourth quarter, no defense, we lost our energy and that’s what happens. We led by 13 through great offense, we had 22 assists but in the fourth they got their momentum and we had no answer.”

Milan paid the price for allowing Zvezda 17 offensive rebounds as the Serbian outfit also managed 9 steals, compensating for a modest 9-of-25 shooting from deep as it also forced 12 turnovers from Milan. [Shavon Shields](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/shavon-shields/007831/) led a pack of five Milan players who scored in double figures as he sank 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor, but the hosts ultimately came up short against a more energetic Zvezda roster.

Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv playing at Menora Mivtachim Arena is a whole different beast. The Israeli side returned home with a 100-97 win over Zalgiris Kaunas following a three-game losing run on the road.

Boosted by the home crowd, Maccabi found ways to break down one of the stingiest EuroLeague defenses by sharing the ball well and firing on all cylinders from deep.

The hosts fed off the energy transmitted by the crowd throughout the game to pull off a sublime offensive display against a team that conceded a league second-lowest 81.3 points per game heading into Thursday’s clash.

“We are a really good offensive team, it’s kind of what we do,” Will Rayman said after the game. “We move the ball. We have bigs and scoring guards who can score and create. I feel that we can do that against anybody.”

In fact, Maccabi reached the 81-point mark just seconds into the fourth quarter, with Roman Sorkin draining one of his team’s 15 triples on the night to make it 81-74.

“Just being home is so fun,” Sorkin told EuroLeague TV after the game. “We’ve missed \[the fans\] so much. It’s the second game we play this season here and I think that the fans are giving us so much energy and drive. It’s like the sixth player for us. We play so much better here. It’s not an excuse, but we really like playing at home. I feel like everybody brings his A game and there is more energy. It’s something that when you are not feeling it, you can’t really explain it.”

In a back-and-forth affair that had fans on the edge of their seats, Zalgiris didn’t hesitate to match Maccabi’s pace as the two teams traded blows in the first half, with the hosts taking a 52-49 edge at halftime.

Maccabi kicked off the second half with a 9-2 run that opened a double-digit lead, but Zalgiris fought back, with a late triple from Sylvain Francisco trimming the deficit to 78-71 heading into the closing quarter.

The Israeli side never surrendered its lead, but Francisco’s fifth triple of the game cut the difference to 99-97 with 8 seconds left on the clock. Jimmy Clark drew a foul and missed one of his two free throws, giving Zalgiris the opportunity to send the game to extra time.

Yet, Azuolas Tubelis turned over his inbounds pass and despite Marcio Santos’s error on the other end, Maodo Lo missed his midcourt triple attempt and Maccabi clinched the victory, with the fans erupting in the stands.

“It was so loud there in the third and fourth quarter, it was huge for us,” TJ Leaf said after the game. “Without that, I’m not sure how that game ends. It’s so fun being out there. With that crowd behind you and that place just rocking, there’s nothing like it. It’s really such a blast playing basketball in front of this crowd. I cherish every second that I’m out there.”

Leaf went 8-for-11 from inside the arc, with Sorkin going 7-for-9 from the field and Jimmy Clark drilling a career-high 4 triples to finish the game on 17 points each. Six players recorded at least 2 assists apiece, with the hosts registering a total of 24.

With a demanding road clash away at Olympiacos Piraeus set to open the upcoming double-round week, Oded Kattash’s side will look to emulate their home form on the road. Andreas Obst’s clutch threes lift Bayern over Panathinaikos

[FC Bayern Munich](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/fc-bayern-munich/mun/) still has a long way to go to be considered a challenger for a spot in the Play-In Showdown, but the German powerhouse was satisfied with its complete victory over [Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/panathinaikos-aktor-athens/pan/) for a third straight home win.

[Andreas Obst](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/andreas-obst/004508/) delivered the knockout punch with two three-pointers in the final 62 seconds as Bayern won 85-78 and improved to 8-14, including 7-4 at home. Bayern is now 3-2 under new head coach Svetislav Pesic.

“For us, it was very important to try to keep it a close game. After that, you have the chance. From our side, we played an excellent game throughout. We showed a high-level game from both sides,” said Pesic, who also praised the atmosphere at the sold-out SAP Garden. 

“For the first time since I am here as coach, I feel that we are together with our fans. This is very important for us to bring this atmosphere, which helps our players a lot. We feel comfortable because we are in our house.”

Pesic was impressed once again with Obst, who only took 8 shots after just two games earlier hitting 7 three-pointers in scoring 37 points against Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

“Andi showed a really different quality today. They really defended him tough the whole game. But what’s important for a player at this level, he showed patience, he played for the others. He didn’t want to force things. And he helped us and because of that others were able to step up like JJ (Jessup),” Pesic said.

Panathinaikos opened the first big lead with [Cedi Osman](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/cedi-osman/004088/) hitting 2 triples in a 0-11 surge for a 29-38 cushion. The score was 40-43 at the break and Bayern got within 47-49 midway through the third quarter. The Greens knocked down 4 triples the rest of the period and were up 58-64 going into the final frame.

Bayern did not allow a Panathinaikos basket in the first 4 minutes of the fourth and nosed ahead 67-66 before triples from [Neno Dimitrijevic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/neno-dimitrijevic/006085/) and Jessup made it 73-70.

Obst took command of the offense down the stretch, hitting a layup high off the backboard to make it 77-74 and then draining a triple at the top of the key over [Richaun Holmes](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/richaun-holmes/014011/) for an 82-76 cushion. Obst finished the scoring with a long three from the left side with 33 seconds to go for the final 85-78 scoreline.

“In the end, you want to put the ball in the hands of your best scorer and we did that,” Pesic said. “The idea was for him to start the offense with the ball in his hands and then get the ball back and create - either his shot or attack for a layup. He waited for his chances. We play for him, we believe in him - not just the coaches but also the players.”

Jessup was happy about the team’s determination.

“In the last couple of minutes, we got some big stops and obviously Andi hit some huge shots. I’m really happy with the way that we stuck with it. We were down 6 points in the fourth quarter, but we kept getting stops, fighting and rebounding,” said Jessup.

And Gabriel added: “This is one of the first times where we put in a full game. We put in a lot of preparation, a lot of work for this one. It’s good to see it pay off. We’ve given up a lot of turnovers and offensive rebounds. We made an emphasis on trying to get better and focus on ourselves. And I think it was good to reward ourselves with this win today.”

Bayern’s happiness about the victory – its first over Panathinaikos after six straight losses dating back to January 5, 2023 - was not without some concern. Both [Stefan Jovic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/stefan-jovic/004863/) and Dimitrijevic banged their heads against the floor as they fell in the fourth quarter. Jovic went to the locker room immediately.

Panathinaikos, meanwhile, has dropped three of the last four games for a 13-9 record. Osman led the way with 20 points and [Jerian Grant](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/jerian-grant/011204/) had 17 points while [Kostas Sloukas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kostas-sloukas/001926/) dished out 5 assists to become just the second player to reach the 2,000-assist mark in EuroLeague history along with Nick Calathes.

“We played good for the first three quarters - we shared the ball and played good defense. But the last quarter on offense, we stared to miss everything and defensively, starting with Dimitrijevic, then Jessup and finally Obst scored and we lost the game,” said Panathinaikos head coach Ergin Ataman.

Kurucs, Forrest lead Baskonia to rare road win 

[Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/baskonia-vitoria-gasteiz/bas/) shook off some pressure at Turkcell Basketball Development Center, ending one of the longest road losing streaks in competition history. Baskonia entered the game with 19 straight losses in away games. Its last road had come [against Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/game-center/2024-25/maccabi-playtika-tel-aviv-baskonia-vitoria-gasteiz/E2024/141/#box-score), 85-95, at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, Serbia on December 17, 2024.

That changed in Round 22, as Baskonia topped [Anadolu Efes Istanbul](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/anadolu-efes-istanbul/ist/) 75-89 to go up to 8-14 in the standings. It was not easy, as Baskonia had the final word in a game that saw 16 lead changes in the opening three quarters. Once Baskonia took the lead, however, it managed to keep it for good.

"Every win has to be celebrated, because in this league, it's a very, very tough to win on the road," Baskonia coach [Paolo Galbiati](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/kosner-baskonia-vitoria-gasteiz/bas/galbiati-paolo) said after the game. "I'm happy to see the face of the guys at the end of the game, because we had a big monkey \[on our backs\] here, and now I hope they stay far from us for a long time."

[Rodions Kurucs](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/rodions-kurucs/005713/) played a critical role throughout the second half, scoring 12 of his team-high 18 points after the break. Kurucs capped a 0-7 run with a bomb from downtown that put Baskonia ahead for good, 59-65. By the time he made free throws for a 75-85 score already in the final minute. Kurucs was all smiles, knowing his team finally ended its losing streak.

"I think it was a great collective effort. We all contributed for our team and did what we were supposed to do, get a win in an away game, which was a tough travel and a tough game, tough court, so I'm really happy for the team," Kurucs said after the game. "I feel like staying together, helping each other out, supporting each other, bringing the energy from the bench, both sides, starting five and bench five, and also supporting \[each other\] and talking, communication. were the biggest keys today."

He got plenty of help from [Trent Forrest](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/trent-forrest/013367/), who is back to his best form. Forrest had 6 points and 2 assists in the fourth quarter. When the dust settled, Forrest finished the game with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for a career-high PIR of 32. After missing 10 games due to injury, it took Forrest a while to find his rhythm. Right before the injury, he led Baskonia to a 105-100 home win over Real Madrid in Spanish League action with 26 points and 7 assists for a PIR of 43. Forrest again showcased his all-around game to lead Baskonia in Istanbul.

After a sub-par first half, [Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/timothe-luwawu-cabarrot/012080/) was unstoppable in crunch time, too, scoring 10 of his 15 points in the final 6 minutes of the game. [Kobi Simmons](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kobi-simmons/014152/) was Baskonia's fourth player in double-digits with 14 points. The guests scored 31 fourth-quarter points, making 7 of 9 two-pointers (77.8% 2FG) and all of their 11 free throw attempts, as well as outrebounding Efes 5-10.

"I feel good just doing whatever I can to help our team win, so I'm glad we were able to win. Everybody was making the right play. In the first quarter, we did a pretty good job. The second quarter, we didn't do a good job, and that's kind of when they took the lead. And going into the second half, we knew that's what we needed to do a little more, was just get back to sharing the ball," Forrest said. "We all have guys that can make plays and pass the ball. We definitely have to build on it. We still have a tough stretch coming up, so we just need to keep getting better and learning and hopefully let it carry over to the next game."

Baskonia stays on the road next week, playing against two of the best teams in the competition. It visits Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens on January 20 and faces defending champion Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul at Ulker Sports and Event Hall on January 23.

Saliou Niang makes history as Virtus drops Dubai on the road

Virtus showed grit and composure to snatch a 72-80 road win – its third away victory of the season – and move to 11-11.

For three quarters, it was a tug-of-war. Both sides traded blows, momentum swung like a pendulum, and the crowd roared with every Dubai surge. His counterpart did not disagree with the sentiment. Dubai coach Jurica Golemac held his hands up after the game, claiming that the better team on the day came out victorious.

[Dubai Basketball](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/dubai-basketball/dub/) has completed the signing of [Bruno Caboclo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/bruno-caboclo/012096/), with the Brazilian forward committing to a deal that runs through the end of this season.

Caboclo, 30, arrives from [Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/hapoel-ibi-tel-aviv/hta/). The 2.08-meter big man has not appeared in the EuroLeague this season due to injury, but he was a key contributor during Hapoel’s EuroCup title run last year. He featured in all 23 BKT EuroCup games, averaging 7.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest.

When Caboclo makes his debut for Dubai, it will mark his first EuroLeague appearance since the 2023-24 season with [Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/partizan-mozzart-bet-belgrade/par/). During that campaign, he averaged 9.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Caboclo began his professional career with Pinheiros in Brazil in 2013-14 before spending the next seven seasons moving between the NBA and the G League. His NBA stops included the Toronto Raptors (2014-18), Sacramento Kings (2017-18), Memphis Grizzlies (2019-20) and Houston Rockets (2020-21), while he also suited up in the G League for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Raptors 905, Reno Bighorns, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Memphis Hustle.

He made the move to Europe midway through the 2020-21 season with Limoges, then returned to Brazil to play for Sao Paulo in 2021-22. Caboclo opened the 2022-23 campaign with the Mexico City Capitanes before joining [ratiopharm ulm](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/teams/ratiopharm-ulm/ulm/), where he made his EuroCup debut and helped deliver a historic German League title.

That success earned him a move to Partizan, and in August 2024 he joined Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he was part of a EuroCup-winning roster. Now in Dubai, Caboclo will be aiming to add another chapter to a career that has already spanned three continents.

The 30-year-old did so by shooting 9-for-12 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in just over 28 minutes. Vezenkov has now scored at least 24 points in each of his last four games. In that stretch, he has gone a spectacular 25-for-33 from inside the arc and 10-for-17 from deep while making all 18 of his free-throw attempts.

“Sasha is Sasha,” Olympiacos head coach Georgios Bartzokas said in the post-game press conference. “You can’t say a lot of things. He doesn’t want to dribble the ball, but he moves extremely well away from the ball. He’s a great shooter, very good rebounder. He has this feeling for the game, which is a pure talent. He just needs the system around him and this ball movement to make him the player that he is right now.”

Each player who played the game had at least 1 assist and some of them a lot. Whenever we move the ball, we have a lot of players to score.”

Olympiacos held Partizan to just 13 points in each of the two aforementioned quarters, opening a double-digit lead that it maintained throughout the game. The guests outscored Partizan in each of the four quarters and registered their highest-scoring road victory this season.

It was also Olympiacos’s second-biggest road win in club history, as well as its largest triumph away from home over the last 25 years. For the record, its biggest ever victory on the road was a 53-100 thrashing of Ovarense Aerosoles back in 2000.

Records and milestones aside, this comfortable win over Partizan offers Olympiacos the opportunity to head into the upcoming double-round week with its confidence sky-high. And with Vezenkov pulling off displays like Wednesday’s, the Reds will look to put together a winning streak that will allow them to further climb up the standings.

Virtus did just about enough to earn a crucial 72-80 victory over Dubai on Thursday at Coca-Cola Arena. The win moved the Italian side to 11-11 with its third road win of the season. Dubai suffered its second home loss of the campaign, as it slipped to 10-12.

The teams traded runs for most of the first three quarters, with Coach Dusko Ivanovic’s men heading into the final quarter ahead by 7. Dubai put together a valiant comeback effort, but turnovers hurt the home side and big shots from Carsen Edwards decided the game on the other side of the floor.

Saliou Niang played the starring role for the visitors with 17 points and 17 rebounds - the latter number marking a career-high and matching the club record. Edwards finished with 21 points and 4 dishes and Derrick Alston Jr. contributed 12 points. Aleksa Avramovic led the way in scoring for Dubai with  17.

Baskonia grabbed a long-awaited road victory by topping Efes 75-89 at Turkcell Basketball Development Center in Round 22 on Thursday. Baskonia improved to 8-14 and snapped an 19-game road losing streak that had started in December 2024. Meanwhile, Efes dropped to 6-16 and is on a six-game losing streak.

Rodions Kurucs led the winners with 18 points on 4 of 4 three-point shooting. Trent Forrest added 17, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 15 and Kobi Simmons had 14 for Baskonia, which buried 25 of 27 free throws (92.6%). Jordan Loyd paced Efes with 12 points, Isaia Cordinier added 11 and Rolands Smits had 10 for Efes, which led 59-58 at the end of the third quarter. Kurucs led a 0-7 run to put Baskonia in charge for good, 59-65. Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 10 points in the last 6 minutes to make sure that Baskonia returned to Vitoria-Gasteiz with a road victory.

Justinian Jessup tallied 16 points to pace Bayern, Obst finished with 15 points and Wenyen Gabriel added 12. The German side is now 3-2 under new head coach Svetislav Pesic. 

Panathinaikos has dropped three of the last four games for a 13-9 record. Cedi Osman led the way with 20 points and Jerian Grant had 17 points while Kostas Sloukas dished out 5 assists to join Nick Calathes as the only players to reach the 2,000 assist mark in EuroLeague history.

Maccabi got back to winning ways by edging Zalgiris Kaunas 100-97 on Thursday night at Menora Mivtachim Arena. A back-and-forth first half saw the two teams trade blows, with the hosts securing a 52-49 advantage at halftime.

Maccabi opened a double-digit lead in the third quarter, but Zalgiris fought back in the closing stages, with a Sylvain Francisco triple bringing the visitors within 99-97 with 7 seconds to go. Jimmy Clark split his free throws on the other end, but Azuolas Tubelis's misplaced inbounds pass proved costly for the Lithuanian side.

Having put an end to its three-game losing slide, Maccabi improved its record to 9-13. Meanwhile, Zalgiris suffered its second straight defeat on the road, dropping to 12-10. Jimmy Clark, Roman Sorkin and TJ Leaf paced the hosts with 17 points each, while Iffe Lundberg bagged 13. Francisco led all scorers with 22 points and Moses Wright paired his 17 points with 11 rebounds in defeat.

Having trailed 25-27 after the opening 10 minutes, Milan led until early in the fourth when Zvezda put together a 1-15 run and turned the tide.

Jordan Nwora paced Zvezda on 22 points while Chima Moneke and Jared Butler chipped in with 18 each. Codi Miller-McIntyre racked up 15 points, 8 boards and 7 assists and Nikola Kalinic also served up a big all round performance in the second half to finish on 10 points, 5 boards, 2 steals and as many blocks. At the other end, Shavon Shields led Milan on 22 points and Leandro Bolmaro added 13. Josh Nebo posted 12 points, Marko Guduric 11 and Armoni Brooks scored 10.

Monaco completed the season sweep of Paris with an 87-95 win in the French capital. Paris opened the game on an 8-0 run, but Mike James poured in 17 first-quarter points to swing the momentum. Monaco went on to lead for the final 35 minutes, though Paris briefly tied the game twice – at 27-27 in the second quarter and 59-59 in the third. 

After his hot start, James cooled off as Nikola Mirotic and Alpha Diallo took on bigger roles, while Matthew Strazel and Elie Okobo remained steady scoring threats. Daniel Theis, back in the rotation after missing Round 21, made several key plays alongside Kevarrius Hayes, with the two centers combining for 7 blocks. The win improves Monaco to 15-7, while Paris falls to 7-14.

James finished with 23 points, Diallo added 16, Okobo scored 12, Mirotic had 11 points and 9 rebounds, and Strazel chipped in 10. For Paris, Nadir Hifi led the way with 19 points, followed by Jared Rhoden with 17 and Lamar Stevens with 11.

Fenerbahce was heavily outrebounded in that game, so the reigning champ will look for more physicality – not helped by the loss of Bonzie Colson to injury – against a Valencia team which always loves to crash the glass through the likes of Jaime Pradilla and Matt Costello. The scoring threat of Kam Taylor, who netted 17 points when Valencia comfortably beat Fenerbahce in October, will be a major focus for the hosts' defense.

That sets him up nicely for a big battle in the paint against the competition’s new all-time rebounding leader, Walter Tavares, who has posted 9.3 boards in the last four games. Real won at Barcelona in Round 9 behind 29 points from Trey Lyles, and boasts the league’s best home record (9-1). But Barca is one of the best long-range shooting teams in the competition (38.4% of three-pointers converted), so will hope the likes of Kevin Punter and Dario Brizuela can inspire a key road win.

Olympiacos grabbed its fifth win in six games by thrashing Partizan 66-104 on Wednesday night at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall. An exchange of blows in the first quarter was followed by a 0-12 run to end the second, as the visitors grabbed a 30-52 lead at halftime. The Reds didn’t take their foot off the gas, held Partizan to just 13 points in the third quarter and practically finished the game off.

Having grabbed the second largest road victory in club history, Olympiacos improved its record to 13-8. Meanwhile, bottom-placed Partizan suffered its seventh straight loss and dropped to 6-16.

Sasha Vezenkov paced the visitors with 25 points, having gone 9-for-12 from the field. Thomas Walkup, Tyler Dorsey, Alec Peters, Nikola Milutinov and Donta Hall netted 12 each. Partizan's Duane Washington went 10-for-15 from the field, ending the game on a career-high 28 points.
