The Real Madrid product returns to Spain after two years in Germany
Barcelona makes Juan Nuñez its playmaker of the future

FC Barcelona announced that it has signed point guard Juan Nuñez to a three-year contract. Nuñez (1.92 meters, 20 years old) spent the past two seasons with ratiopharm Ulm where he established himself as a top-tier playmaker. He averaged 10.8 points, 5.7 assists and 1.9 steals in 15 BKT EuroCup games last season. Nuñez was second in the competition in assists and fourth in steals. He was worth 9.4 points, 4.7 assists and 1.6 steals in the German League.
Nuñez is a product of the Real Madrid youth system and made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut during the 2021-22 season. He helped Los Blancos win the Spanish League that season and won the German championship with Ulm in 2023. Nuñez led Spain to the gold medal at the U20 European Championship in 2022 as tournament MVP and played for Spain’s senior men’s national team at the FIBA Basketball World Cup last summer.
