FC Bayern Munich has secured the services of its leader for an additional three years, signing All-EuroLeague forward Vladimir Lucic to a contract extension until the end of the 2024-25 season, the club announced on Tuesday.

Lucic (2.04 meters, 32 years old) is averaging 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists this season, ranks second among all Turkish Airlines EuroLeague players in average minutes (31:08), and has a team-high 15.0 average PIR. This is Lucic's sixth season with the club, and in the last one he posted career-high numbers in helping Bayern become the first German club ever to reach the playoffs. He averaged 13.6 points on 44.1% three-point shooting while also posting 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals. At season's end, Lucic was voted to the All-EuroLeague First Team for the first time in his career.

Lucic began his career with Partizan Belgrade in his native Serbia and played there from 2009 through 2013. In addition to making his EuroLeague debut, Lucic helped Partizan win five Serbian League crowns, four Serbian Cups and four Adriatic League championships. He signed with Valencia Basket in 2013 and helped the club lift the 7DAYS EuroCup in 2014. Lucic has also been a member of the Serbian national team and won the silver medal at EuroBasket 2017.
