FC Bayern Munich secured services of one of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague's top three-point shooters, extending contract with shooting guard Andreas Obst for another three seasons. Obst (1.91 meters, 26 years old) will now stay in Munich until the end of the 2025-26 campaign, the club announced on Friday ahead of its all-German derby against ALBA Berlin. Obst enters Friday night's game averaging 9.0 points and 1.9 rebounds, but ranks third in the league with 2.4 three-pointers per game in his 19 appearances this season despite playing just short of 20 minutes per game.
"I'm really happy to be able to wear the FC Bayern jersey for the next three years. That makes me very proud", Obst said in a press release from the club. "I was incredibly well received here right from the start and felt at home straight away."
