Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade announced on Monday that Dusko Ivanovic has been named the club's new head coach. He replaces Vlada Jovanovic, who parted ways with Zvezda the day before. Ivanovic signed with Zvezda until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Ivanovic, 65, has coached in the EuroLeague for parts of 18 different seasons and has a 181-143 career record. He last coached Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, from December 2019 until November 2021. That was his third stint with the club during which he led it to the 2020 Spanish League title. In Ivanovic's last season, Baskonia had a 3-6 record in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and a 4-6 start in the Spanish League before the two sides parted ways.
