The Greek Cup remains with Olympiacos
Olympiacos Piraeus successfully defended the Greek Cup with a resounding 57-85 victory over Peristeri Athens at Heraklion Indoor Sports Arena. Alec Peters knocked down 8 of 11 three-pointers en route to 26 points to lead the winners, who claimed the Greek Cup for the 11th time. Sasha Vezenkov added 20 points and Moustapaha Fall contributed 13. Dimitrios Moraitis scored 16 to lead Peristeri.
Vezenkov and Fall each scored twice in a game-opening 2-12 run that set the tone. A triple by Kostas Papanilolaou made it 10-26 after 10 minutes. The Reds then opened the second quarter on a 1-15 tear in which Peters netted 3 three-pointers to go up by 30. Peristeri trimmed the deficit to 21-45 at halftime, but never threatened in the second half as Olympiacos cruised to victory.
