Zvezda downs Partizan in semis
Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade earned bragging rights over archrival Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade in the semifinals of the Serbian Cup, winning 75-83. Luca Vildoza had 15 points for Zvezda, followed by Filip Petrusev and Nemanja Nedovic with 14 apiece. For Partizan, James Nunnally scored 19 points and Zach LeDay ended with 16.
It was Partizan who finished the first quarter ahead, 21-15, and it then built on that lead in the second quarter by going into the break with a 44-34 advantage. However, Zvezda was able to overturn that 10-point deficit in the third by outscoring Partizan 14-25, which set the score at 58-59. In the final 10 minutes, Zvezda continued its momentum by winning the quarter 17-24 to make it 75-83 and book its place in Saturday's final against Mega Basket.
