Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul added deep shooting range and power to its frontcourt by inking forward Nate Sestina to a one-year deal with an option for another season, the club announced on Friday. Sestina (26 years old, 2.05 meters) arrives from Turk Telekom Ankara, where he averaged 10.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 22 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He helped Turk Telekom reach the 2023 EuroCup Final, where it lost against Gran Canaria. His team also recorded a first-place finish in the Turkish League regular season (25-5). However, Pinar Karsiyaka Iszmir stood in Turk Telekom's way in the semifinals.

Sestina's route to Turkiye
Fenerbahce is the third Turkish side that Sestina will suit up for. Sestina began his professional career with the Long Island Nets of the G League in early 2021, before going on to represent Hapoel Holon of Israel later in the 2020-21 campaign. He signed a one-year deal with Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket of Turkiye in the summer of 2021, and the following offseason saw him join Turk Telekom. Sestina is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Fenerbahce in the 2023-24 campaign.
