The 2021-22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague will feature all of the strongest teams on the continent, including 10 current or former champions. The new additions for this season will be 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup champion AS Monaco, which will compete in Europe's premier competition for the first time, and EuroCup runner-up UNICS Kazan, which returns to the EuroLeague for the first time since 2016-17.
There will be teams from 11 countries, including three each from Russian and Spain. Istanbul and Athens will be the only metropolitan areas with multiple teams. Monaco's debut in the competition means that this season will make the first time in eight years that there are two clubs from the French League in the EuroLeague.
