Hezonja, Tavares set playoff rebounding mark

Real Madrid pulled out a thrilling 80-82 win at a packed Stark Arena on Tuesday night against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, cutting the series deficit to 2-1. Los Blancos lost the turnover battle 12-7, but 6 of those 7 turnovers, the visitors forced in the second half. What also helped nullify the turnover margin was Real's 40-34 rebounding advantage.
More than half of those were pulled down by Mario Hezonja, who had a career-high 14, and Walter Tavares who collected 11. It is only the second time in modern playoffs, since 2005, that two teammates had 11 or more rebounds in a single game.
The 25 rebounds between the two are also tied for most rebounds by two teammates in a playoff game in that period.
The two players barely came off the floor. Hezonja played 37 minutes and 10 seconds, while Tavares played 35 minutes and 45 seconds.
