EA7 Emporio Armani Milan announced on Friday the arrival of big man Johannes Voigtmann for the next two seasons to bolster its frontcourt. Voigtmann (2.11 meters, 29 years old) arrives from CSKA Moscow, where he played the last three seasons. In the last one, he averaged 8.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games. Voigtmann is currently playing in EuroBasket 2022 with the German national team.

Voigtmann helped CSKA reach the EuroLeague Championship Game and win the VTB League title in the 2020-21 campaign. Voigtmann started his professional basketball career with Science City Jena of his native Germany. He also played for Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt of Germany and Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz of Spain before joining CSKA. He helped Skyliners win the FIBA Europe Cup title in 2016 and is a member of the German national team. In 185 EuroLeague career games with Baskonia and CSKA, Voigtmann has amassed 1,573 points (8.5 ppg.) and 983 rebounds (5.3 rpg.).
