Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has confirmed that Nigel Hayes-Davis suffered a groin injury during the team’s Round 20 victory against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, which saw him miss the club’s Round 21 triumph over FC Bayern Munich on Thursday.
Hayes-Davis, who is averaging 13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists this season, had played and started in each of Fenerbahce’s first 20 games of the campaign, before being unavailable in Round 21. It is believed that he will be out for at least two more games.
“Our player Nigel Hayes-Davis suffered a groin injury during the game against Partizan on Tuesday, January 9,” Fenerbahce announced in a statement. “Following the medical examinations of our player at Acibadem Atasehir Hospital, a first stage adductor muscle injury was detected and his treatment has started.”
