Olympiacos Piraeus and head coach Georgios Bartzokas signed a deal that will keep him with the Reds until 2025, the club announced on Tuesday night. Olympiacos is coming off an impressive campaign in which Bartzokas guided the team back to the EuroLeague Final Four after five years and was voted the Aleksander Gomelskiy Coach of the Year by his peers on the benches of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague clubs. Domestically, Bartzokas led the Reds to a Greek League and Cup double.
Bartzokas, 57, is in his second stint with Olympiacos, where he returned in January 2020. He previously coached the team for two seasons, from 2012 through 2014 when he guided the club to the 2013 EuroLeague crown and was named Aleksander Gomelskiy Coach of the Year for the first time after that season.
