Panathinaikos Athens has confirmed the appointment of Christos Serelis as the team's head coach for its upcoming Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. The 48-year-old arrives from Lavrio of Greece, where he returned after spending the final part of the 2021-22 season as assistant to Panathinaikos's interim head coach at the time, Georgios Vovoras. Serelis replaces Dejan Radonjic, and this is his first job as a head coach in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
"Panathinaikos BC announces the appointment of Christos Serelis, who will lead our team in the upcoming game against Armani Milan. Vassilis Simtsak returned to our coaching staff," the Greens confirmed in a statement.
