Giorgos Bartzokas, Olympiacos head coach
"We are excited, because it will be our first EuroLeague game in our home court. Of course, we wanted to have our fans with us. The fact that we will miss them is a big disadvantage. First of all, because we really wanted to play in front of our people. The last time we did it, was last season against Panathinaikos. Another reason is that we really need their support. It really matters to have them on our side in every game. Zalgiris is a team that can cause you huge problems. Our opponent has renewal its roster. They have signed talented Lithuanian players, that they are rookies in EuroLeague. They also signed new American players. Right now, Zalgiris is a team consisted of fighters, that they never give up. We saw that at their game against Maccabi. They put a lot of pressure on the ball and they play with great intensity. They also fight hard on rebounds. We must play very good and not do the mistake to underestimate our opponent. If we don’t be 100% focused, Zalgiris will take advantage of it."
Alec Peters, Olympiacos player
"It’s very nice to have a home game finally! Unfortunately, there will be no fans here, but we are looking forward to having a home game. A though home game. It’s going to be a fight that we are ready for. Each round, each game is different. We can’ t think that our success last week is going to help us this week. We have to be focused. The physicality and the defense needs to be there tomorrow, as well the rebounding for sure."
