Real Madrid has added an extra scoring threat to its roster with the signing of small forward Dzanan Musa on a two-year deal. Musa (2.05 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Rio Breogan Lugo, where he had a breakout season and was chosen as the Spanish League MVP. He led the competition in scoring (20.1 ppg.) and PIR average (23.1 per game), while he also averaged 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 29 games. Musa was a member of Anadolu Efes Istanbul's Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship-winning side in 2020-21.
Real adds scoring punch with Musa
Musa became one of the youngest players to ever take the court in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague when he played his first game on October 15, 2015, for Cedevita Zagreb at 16 years, five months and eight days old. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 10 games that season and went on to be named the 7DAYS EuroCup Rising Star in 2017-18, his second season in that competition. Musa played 18 EuroCup games overall with Cedevita, with averages of 8.2 points and 2.8 rebounds. He has also played for Brooklyn in the NBA and Long Island in the G-League. Musa led the Bosnian national team to a gold medal at the 2015 U16 European Championships and was named tournament MVP after recording averages of 23.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists. He also helped Cedevita to three consecutive Croatian League and Cup doubles from 2016 to 2018.
