EA7 Emporio Armani Milan knew it was going to need to play tough defense to beat Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, but in the end, it was strong rebounding and a breakthrough game from Johannes Voigtmann that carried the Italian side to the 89-83 victory.
Milan’s defense held the EuroLeague’s top offense to just 25.0% shooting on three-pointers while also outrebounding Baskonia 39-26. Included in that rebound number were 12 offensive rebounds which resulted in a 14-8 advantage in second-chance points.
