Andrea Trinchieri, FC Bayern Munich head coach
"[It's] a great win. The credit goes all my players. We have had problems, missed players and then, after 4 minutes, another player [went] out. We found the way to play through adversity. We played good on offense, so-so on defense, but we were able to do the right things on defense when it counted the most.
"Great, great win. If I have to think back and look back at all the things that happened in the last 36 hours, I can just say that this is an amazing win. All the things that could go wrong went very wrong: [Vladimir] Lucic out, [Niels] Giffey out, [Augustine] Rubit out after 4 minutes. We had to change our strategy a little bit, but we played 30 minutes with all the mistakes, with all the things that were not perfect, and let me say that it is totally acceptable when you lose a little bit of the backbone of your team. And we won because we wanted to win the game. We played hard and played the whole game well on offense. We had problems against a great Lorenzo Brown, that was very, very aggressive to score, also very smart to pass when we were helping on him. But, we were able to condense our best defensive plays in the last 5 minutes, changing a little bit, drifting away from the game plan, but I have to thank all my players. They competed, and it is a great night for Bayern."
