Vasilije Micic flirted with a triple-double as Anadolu Efes Istanbul rallied from a double-digit deficit to down visiting Olympiacos Piraeus 82-71 on Thursday night at Sinan Erdem Dome. The Reds held double-digit leads on multiple occasions in the first half and were ahead 35-45 early in the third quarter, but Micic, Rodrigue Beaubois and Will Clyburn lit it up offensively as Efes scored 49 second-half points en route to a fourth straight victory, which improved its record to 6-5, while Olympiacos dropped to 7-4.

In a rematch of last seasons' Final Four semifinals, EuroLeague scoring leader Clyburn paced all scorers with 24 points. Beaubois had 19 points on 5-for-6 three-point shooting, while Micic finished with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Sasha Vezenkov scored 18 points for the Reds, Giannoulis Larentzakis added 13, while Moustapha Fall and Kostas Sloukas had 12 points apiece in a losing effort.

Olympiacos scored the first 10 points of the night with Thomas Walkup and Vezenkov each netting a triple. Clyburn got the Efes offense going, but Fall scored 6 points to keep Olympiacos in control. Micic and Beaubois each knocked down a three early in the second to cut the gap to 23-27, but Alec Peters had a three-point play and Sloukas a three-pointer that opened a 25-36 margin. Beaubois, Clyburn and Micic helped close the gap to 33-41 at halftime.
A pair of triples from Beaubois in the third made it a 1-point affair, 46-47. Vezenkov replied with back-to-back triples to briefly give the Reds more breathing room, but Clyburn hit a two-pointer with his toes on a three-point line and then Beaubois followed with his fourth triple, a wide-open one to bring Efes within 52-53 at the end of the third. At the start of the fourth quarter, back-to-back threes from Clyburn put Efes in front for the first time in the game, 58-53. Sloukas answered with a three-pointer, but Elijah Bryant and Micic each nailed a three-pointer to make it 64-56. Larentzakis from long range and Vezenkov's three-point play kept the visitors close, but Micic had another three-pointer and a short jumper to make it 74-66. Olympiacos managed to get the score within 5 points with less than 2 minutes to go, but Beaubois had his fifth triple and Ante Zizic delivered a big block on Shaquille McKissic to seal the outcome.
