Anadolu Efes Istanbul (2-5) hosts FC Barcelona (5-2) in what promises to be an interesting showdown. It is a rematch of the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Championship Game, in which Efes defeated Barcelona 86-81 to claim its first-ever continental crown. Barca bested Efes twice last season, 95-95 in overtime at Sinan Erdem Dome behind 24 points from Sertac Sanli, and 82-77 at home with 16 points from Rokas Jokubaitis.
Efes faces Barca in rematch of the 2021 championship game

Efes is on a three-game losing streak. Vasilije Micic (19.4 ppg., 7.1 apg., 22.4 PIR) has been its pillar alongside Will Clyburn (19.3 ppg., 6.3 rpg., 20.4 PIR). The players rank second and first, respectively, in minutes per game. Efes head coach Ergin Ataman needs the rest of the team to step up, as there is a lot of room for improvement in assists (15.3 apg.) and three-point shooting (33.5% 3FG).
Barca is in the exact opposite situation, as it has won its last three games and looks to keep building momentum, led by Tomas Satoransky (8.0 ppg., 4.9 rpg., 4.1 apg., 14.3 PIR), Nico Laprovittola (13.7 ppg., 4.4 apg., 13.0 PIR) and Jan Vesely (8.7 ppg., 11.1 PIR). Turnovers (13.1 per game) are an issue but Barca is sharing the ball well (18.9 apg.) and ranks third in two-point shooting (57.6% 2FG).
