After suffering yet another close defeat, ASVEL (2-10) will again aim to end its long losing streak against a Valencia team (6-6) which did exactly that two days ago.

Wednesday's 91-94 home loss against Maccabi, despite 23 points and 9 rebounds from Joffrey Lauvergne, means the French club has now lost four straight games by an average of just 5 points. ASVEL head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco will hope the experience of former Valencia star Nando De Colo (13.8 ppg.) can help end that sequence and drag the team from the foot of the standings. The visiting team showed resilience to overcome Zvezda's comeback attempt on Wednesday, and will be led by ex-ASVEL guard Chris Jones (11.5 ppg., 4.6 apg.).

- In addition to having a 4-4 record in their EuroLeague head-to-head games, ASVEL and Valencia were 3-3 in their six BKT EuroCup contests between 2012 and 2019.
- Valencia playmaker Chris Jones played with ASVEL in the 2021-22 season, helping the team win French League.
- ASVEL guard Nando De Colo played at Valencia for three years, from 2009 to 2012. He helped the team win the 2010 EuroCup and made his EuroLeague debut there. He was a teammate of Victor Claver, who also made his EuroLeague debut during that time.

- Valencia's Xabi Lopez-Arostegui posted his career high with 6 assists against ASVEL in January 2023.
- ASVEL's Paris Lee scored a career-high 25 points while making a career-best 5 three-point shots while playing for Panathinaikos Athens against Valencia in February of last season.
