Two teams just outside the playoffs places will battle to improve their positions as Bayern (6-8) welcomes Efes (7-7).
Game Notes: Bayern vs. Efes

The German team has won three straight at home and will look to dominate through the physical prowess of Serge Ibaka, who leads the league in blocked shots (1.6 bpg.) and ranks second in rebounding (6.8 rpg.). Injury-hit Efes, which has a 2-6 record on the road, has been lifted by newcomer Mike Daum, averaging 13.8 points on 52.6% three-point shooting in his four appearances. Bayern leads the league in rebounding with 39.1 per game, while Efes ranks last with 30.2, so that physical edge could be crucial on Wednesday night.

- The Round 11 game in 2019 between these two teams will be marked in the EuroLeague history books for the performance of Shane Larkin who shattered the EuroLeague single-game scoring record with 49 points and tied the mark for three-pointers by making 10. He also set a club record and a career-high with a PIR 53 in that game, earning MVP of the Round honors.
- Bayern's single-game club record of 11 assists was set by Wade Baldwin in a road win over Efes in November 2020.
- Bayern trio Isaac Bonga, Andreas Obst and Niels Gifey have been teammates of Efes guard Justus Hollatz on the German national team, and together they won the gold medal at the 2023 Basketball World Cup.
- Efes center Tibor Pleiss and Bayern forward Niels Giffey have also been teammates on the German national team.
