November's meeting between the teams was a thriller, with Partizan winning 85-84 behind 15 points from Frank Kaminsky, who faces a good inside battle with Georgios Papagiannis after the Fener center scored 16 points with just one miss in last week's rout. Partizan has lost three out of its last four fixtures, averaging just 74 points in those losses, so home coach Sarunas Jasikevicius will look to again stifle the offense of his old mentor, Zeljko Obradovic.
- The visiting side had won the last six straight games between these two teams before Partizan pulled out an 85-84 win in Round 7.
- Last season in Belgrade, Fenerbahce pulled out a 94-97 win in Stark Arena with Marko Guduric earning the MVP of the Round award with a career-high PIR of 35; he scored 25 points and dished a career-best 7 assists. Dyshawn Pierre scored a career-high 21 points on a career-best 5-for-5 three-point shooting in that game.
- Partizan head coach Zeljko Obradovic spent seven seasons as Fenerbahce head coach, from 2013 to 2020, and led the team to the 2017 EuroLeague championship, four Turkish League crowns and three Turkish Cups.
- Fenerbahce head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius played at Panathinaikos Athens for four seasons under current Partizan head coach Zeljko Obradovic, from 2007 to 2010, and then in the 2011-12 season. The two won the 2009 EuroLeague title together.
- Fenerbahce point guard Yam Madar spent the last two seasons with Partizan, making his EuroLeague debut last season when he was voted as EuroLeague Rising Star.
- Partizan swingman James Nunnally played three seasons for Fenerbahce: 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2019-20. He helped the team win its historic 2017 EuroLeague crown. He was a teammate of Melih Mahmutoglu for all three seasons and of Marko Guduric in the 2017-18 campaign.
- Nunnally made a career-high 12 free throws while playing for Olimpia Milan against Fenerbahce in March 2019.
- Nunnally and Fenerbahce's Scottie Wilbekin were backcourt mates at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv during the 2021-22 season.
- Fenerbahce's Marko Guduric has been a teammate of Partizan's Aleksa Avramovic on the Serbian national team, together they won the silver medal at the 2023 Basketball World Cup.
- Fenerbahce center Georgios Papagiannis and Partizan forward Mateusz Ponitka were teammates at Panathinaikos Athens last season.
- Ponitka set his career-high in assists with 8 playing for Zenit St. Petersburg in an overtime win over Fenerbahce in December 2019.
- Ponitka set his career highs in rebounds (12) and offensive rebounds (10) playing for Panathinaikos Athens against Fenerbahce in January of last season.
- Fenerbahce forward Nigel Hayes-Davis was a teammate of Partizan's Zach LeDay at Zalgiris Kaunas during the 2019-20 season.
- Partizan guard Jaleen Smith dished a career-high 7 assists in March of last season playing for ALBA Berlin in an 84-70 home win over Fenerbahce.
