Baskonia’s stars shined to grab a big 84-98 victory at Valencia in December with Codi Miller-McIntyre recording a double-double of 10 points and 11 assists, Chima Moneke powering 19 points and Howard blasting 24 with 6 three-pointers. Chris Jones had 15 points and 6 assists as Valencia overcame Milan last week, also helped by Semi Ojeleye with 14 points and 7 boards, and they will need another big night to take a key road win on Friday.
- In Round 11, Baskonia beat Valencia 84-98 as Codi Miller-McIntyre had 11 points and 10 assists for the first double-digit assists game of his EuroLeague career.
- In the 2022-23 season opener, Baskonia beat Valencia 71-81 with Maik Kotsar making a memorable EuroLeague debut with 21 points - on a career-high 10 two-pointers made - for a PIR of 31, which earned him MVP of the Round honors.
- Valencia had its highest point total in a non-overtime game on December 17, 2019, in beating Baskonia 105-77.
- Baskonia sharpshooter Vanja Marinkovic played for Valencia for two seasons between 2019 and 2021. He was a teammate there of Josep Puerto and Jaime Pradilla.
- Marinkovic has been a teammate of Valencia point guard Stefan Jovic on the Serbian national team and together they won the silver medal at the 2023 Basketball World Cup.
