ALBA (4-18) will look to move away from the foot of the standings with a visit from unpredictable Zvezda (9-13).
Branko Lazic, Zvezda: 'A lot of energy must be invested'

Nemanja Nedovic led the Serbian team to victory when the teams met in December by scoring 20 points on 4-of-7 three-point shooting. Perimeter defense has consistently been a problem for an ALBA team that has allowed opponents to convert 39.9% of three-point shots, which is next-to-worst in the competition. The German team also concedes a competition-high 20 assists per night. However, Zvezda could be without Nedovic and playmaker Milos Teodosic (5.7 assists per game) and thus will need Yago Dos Santos and newcomer Javonte Smart to rise to the occasion. ALBA has lost four straight at home, most recently a heavy German derby defeat to Bayern last week.
Israel Gonzalez, ALBA head coach
"Zvezda is a very good offensive rebounding team. We have to do better than in the game against Bayern, where we conceded too many offensive rebounds. Mitrovic, Bolomboy and Gillespie are characterized by their physicality when rebounding, so we have to control those situations on Thursday. Zvezda also has a lot of talent in Yago dos Santos, Milos Teodosic and Nemanja Nedovic. Nedovic is currently injured, but Belgrade still have a good combination of physical players and individual talents. So it will be important for us to control those strengths on Thursday."
Justin Bean, ALBA player
"Zvezda is a very physical team and also very dangerous from the three-point line. We have the home-court advantage this time and have to bring energy onto the court right from the start. In the last few games, we've shown that we stand together as a team in ups and downs. So we have to show that on Thursday as well."
Ioanis Sfairopulos, Zvezda head coach
"Weare playing against a team that tries to play at a high tempo at home, so we have to control the rhythm of the match, play our game in attack and defense. We will face a team that has shown quality many times, has shown that it fights, and plays with a lot of enthusiasm."
Branko Lazic, Zvezda player
"It will be an extremely physical and energetic, demanding match. ALBA has been playing like that for years, with a lot of running both in attack and defense. It was the same in the last match. A lot of energy must be invested."
