The road that has taken stars from Europe to the NBA has become a two-way street. Every year a handful of players with years of experience from the top league in North America cross the Atlantic to compete in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. And vice versa. This season, EuroLeague clubs have signed 10 players who plied their trade in the NBA last season.
All of them have many years of experience in the NBA under their belts and one even sampled the EuroLeague early in his career. Let's get to know the players who have arrived in the EuroLeague this summer fresh from the NBA:
10. Marko Simonovic, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade
Simonovic returns to Belgrade after two years in Chicago where he played for the Bulls and the club's G-League affiliate. Before that Simonovic spent two seasons with Mega Basket. He averaged a double-double for Windy City in 25 G-League games last season, while making nearly 40% of his threes, which should translate into a strong rookie season in the EuroLeague.
