In his first Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, UNICS Kazan forward John Brown broke the longest-standing single-season record in the competition, the one for total steals, on Friday.
John Brown of UNICS sets single-season steals record

Brown, a EuroLeague newcomer who turned 30 years old in late January, broke the mark set by the great Manu Ginobili in the inaugural 2000-01 season. Ginobili had 64 steals that season, a record that stood until Friday evening.
In his team's 67-76 win against Zalgiris Kaunas, Brown picked up 5 steals to set the new all-time standard, becoming the first man ever to reach 66 steals in a EuroLeague season. What's more, he did it with 11 games still left in the regular season.
Brown picked up at least 1 steal in each of his first 20 appearances this season. The UNICS forward needed 23 games to set a new mark, one more than Ginobili, who set his record in 22 appearances. Brown, however, will have plenty of chances to add to his total before the season's end.
