Zalgiris Kaunas has made its fifth signing of the summer by bringing in Ignas Brazdeikis on a one-year deal with an option for another season, the club confirmed on Sunday. Brazdeikis (1.98 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Orlando of the NBA, where he averaged 5.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in 42 games last season. He was born in Kaunas and will now play in Europe for the first time in his career.
Zalgiris adds forward Brazdeikis
Brazdeikis has spent his entire basketball career in the United States, playing one year at Michigan University before being drafted by New York of the NBA in 2019. Since then, he has played for Westchester and Lakeland of the G League, as well as Philadelphia and Orlando of the NBA. He also plays for the Lithuanian national team.
