AS Monaco has confirmed that Donta Hall will remain at the club for the next season. Hall (2.08 meters, 25 years old) signed a three-year deal with Monaco last summer and is coming off a season in which he helped the team reach the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four for the first time in club history. In 41 appearances in the 2022-23 campaign, of which four were as a starter, the high-flying center averaged 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and a 12.3 PIR. Hall was involved in multiple Magic Moment plays, too.

Making an impression in the EuroLeague
On a round-by-round basis, it's almost a guarantee that Hall will be involved in one of the best plays of the week, be that on the offensive end with a big dunk or defensively with a jaw-dropping block. Hall made a good impression in his rookie EuroLeague season in 2021-22, posting 8.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and a 12.6 PIR as Monaco made it to the playoffs in its first-ever campaign in the competition. In his first year at Monaco, he reached double digits for points 15 times in 35 games, before doing so on 13 occasions in 41 appearances last season.
Donta Hall on his decision to stay at Monaco
Hall states that both he and his Monaco teammates were left wanting more come the close of the 2022-23 season, and he is hoping that next year will see a similar pattern to what happened in the French League, but this time at the EuroLeague level.
"Honestly, you know, over the two years I've been at Monaco, there's always been progression, with each season better than the last," said the American center. "But I feel like there's unfinished business. For example, last year [the 2021-22 season] we reached the final of the French League, only to lose in Game 5. Then, this time, we're champions [of France] but lose at the EuroLeague Final Four.
"I really have this impression, as I said, that as a team we have this taste of unfinished business. Talking to my teammates, we know that we're all focused and that we want to do even better. All the guys are in the same frame of mind to do something special. And that's why I've decided to stay at Monaco."
