Partizan NIS Belgrade added plenty of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague experience to its roster by inking small forward Ioannis Papapetrou, the club announced Tuesday. Papapetrou (2.03 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, where he averaged 13.4 points on 41.3% three-point shooting and 3.9 rebounds in 25 EuroLeague games last season. In four seasons with the Greens, Papapetrou helped Panathinaikos win three Greek League and two Greek Cup titles.

Papapetrou played for Ilysiakos's junior team, Florida Preparatory Academy and the University of Texas before starting his professional basketball career with Olympiacos Piraeus in 2013. He helped the Reds reach two EuroLeague championship games in 2015 and 2017. Papapetrou also helped Olympiacos win back-to-back Greek League titles in 2015 and 2016. In 219 EuroLeague career games with Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, Papapetrou amassed 1,749 points (8.0 ppg.) and 714 rebounds (3.3 rpg.). He has also been a member of the Greek national team.
