Fenerbahce joins Maccabi, Real Madrid in forcing Game 5!

The first night of Game 4s of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs assured a pair of Game 5s next week as Maccabi blew out Monaco at home. Meanwhile, Real Madrid evened its series 2-2 with a second consecutive win on the floor of Partizan. On of those teams will make playoffs history next week: Partizan, as the first Game 5 road winner ever or Real Madrid as the first team to come back from an 0-2 deficit to reach the Final Four. But first, there's another Game 4 on Friday, with Olympiacos seeking to qualify for Kaunas when it visits Fenerbahce two nights after Kostas Sloukas stole Game 3 on the buzzer.

Fenerbahce 73-69 Olympiacos | FINAL

Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul became the third team to force Game 5 in the playoffs by rallying late to beat Olympiacos Piraeus 73-69 and even their series 2-2. Game 5 is next Tuesday in Piraeus, Greece. The first three quarters ended with one-point differences, and there were 17 ties and lead changes before Fenerbahce surged in the final 5 minutes. Nigel Hayes-Davis had flipped the scoreboard and brought down the house with consecutive triples to open the fourth quarter, putting Fenerbahce suddenly in charge. 54-49. Soon enough, though, Shaquielle McKissic was attacking the rim for 5 straight points that put Olympiacos up 56-58. The lead then changed hands three times in a row, the last on Dyshawn Pierre's triple at 62-60 . Free throws and another Pierre three-pointer marked a 67-61 lead, the game's biggest yet, with 2:42 remaining. Tyler Dorsey's deep three a minute later was answered in kind by McKissic at 70-66. Pierre and McKissic traded threes next, already in the final minute, but Olympiacos ran out of time after that. Pierre led the winners with 17 points while Dorsey added 16 and Hayes-Davis 12. Maccabi 104-69 Monaco | FINAL

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv avoided elimination with its first home playoff win in eight years in spectacular fashion on Thursday, blowing out AS Monaco 104-69 to force a do-or-die Game 5 next week in their series. After trailing 17-24 after 10 minutes, Maccabi outscored Monaco 62-29 in the middle quarters to win going away. The backcourt duo of Lorenzo Brown and Wade Baldwin led six Maccabi double-digit scorers with 22 and 19 points, respectively. A 20-0 run to start the second quarter turned the game around and Maccabi never looked back on the way to a Game 5 date in Monaco next Wednesday.

Partizan 78-85 Real Madrid | FINAL

In a series whose unique circumstances won't be forgotten for a very long time, Real Madrid downed host Partizan Mozzart Bet Begrade 78-85 on Thursday to force a Game 5 next week to settle the matter. Mario Hezonja put Real up 55-63 to start the fourth but Dante Exum, Mathias Lessort and Ioannis Papapetrou soon cut that to 62-65. Sergio Rodriguez, from downtown, helped Real maintain a 66-71 advantage. Zach LeDay emerged from a timeout with back-to-back baskets at 70-71, but Gabriel Deck and Rodriguez combined for 5 points that put Real up 72-76. LeDay was smooth as silk from the baseline, then his collision with Deck left the Real player limping to the locker room. Nigel Williams-Goss hit 4 free throws to make it 74-80 with under 2 minutes left. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Yam Madar stole and scored twice in just 3 seconds to make it 78-80 with 1:19 left. An amazing third-chance put-back-and-one by Tavares put Real up 78-83 inside the final minute and Dzanan Musa's layup settled it. Tavares and Adam Hanga had 15 points each for Real while Zach LeDay led all scorers with 25 for Partizan.
