Valencia Basket has strengthened its backcourt by inking point guard Jared Harper to a one-year deal, the club announced on Wednesday. Harper (1.78 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Birmingham of the G League, where he averaged 21.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 38 games. He started the 2021-22 campaign with New Orleans of the NBA, averaging 7.4 points and 2.8 assists in 5 games. Harper is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Valencia in the 2022-23 season.

Harper has also played for Phoenix and New York of the NBA, as well as Northern Arizona and Westchester of the G League. Most recently, Harper rejoined New Orleans and represented the team in the 2022 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, averaging 17.5 points and 4.3 assists in 4 games.
