Michael Caicedo claimed the MVP trophy at the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Valencia after carrying U18 FC Barcelona to a 79-55 victory over U18 Joventut Badalona in the first-place game on Tuesday to earn a spot in the ANGT Finals.

Joining Caicedo on the all-tournament team were Miguel Allen from Joventut, Jeremy Sochan of U18 ratiopharm Ulm, Killian Malwaya from U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and Marc-Antoine Loemba of U18 Nanterre 92.
Caicedo tallied 29 points, including 10-for-10 free throw shooting, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 6 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 37 in the first-place game. For the tournament, he averaged 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals for a PIR of 19.5. He ranked third in scoring and second in PIR while leading the competition in three-point shooting percentage (43.8%) and hitting 100% of his 15 free throws. Allen compiled 22 points and 10 rebounds in the first-place game to finish the tournament averaging 14.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and a PIR of 13.3. He ranked third in scoring, fourth in rebounds and 10th in index rating.
Sochan led the competition in index rating with 22.5 while ranking second in scoring (15.5 ppg-) and first in rebounds (12.8 rpg.) to go along with 2.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks, the latter placing him sixth-best in Valencia. Malwaya averaged 14.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.7 steals for a PIR of 13.3. He ranked sixth in points, eighth in index rating and second in offensive rebounds (4.3 orpg.). Loemba led the tournament in scoring (16.0 ppg.) and steals (3.8 spg.) while ranking second in two-point shooting percentage (62.5%) and fourth in PIR (16.8) to go along with 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
