About the program:
U-BT Cluj Napoca has launched its first One-Team program alongside Special Olympics Romania, which provides year-round sports training for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The One Team program created by Cluj looks to provide the participants with opportunities to develop their physical abilities and the social skills that will aid them their everyday lives.
Starting in November 2022 and ending in February 2023, a total of 20 participants aged between 18 and 48 will participate in the program. The sessions are held at BTarena in Cluj-Napoca and are led by two One Team coaches from the club’s academy, while some junior players from the academy are also involved as volunteers.
The program is funded by Banca Transilvania, and it has the support of Cluj first-team head coach Mihai Silvasan and guard Patrick Richard as One Team Ambassadors.
