About the Program:

Dubai Basketball launches its One Team program in partnership with the Emirates Down Syndrome Association (EDSA), a public benefit organization who works directly with children, young people, and adults through awareness initiatives, skill-development workshops, and family support programs, providing a safe and encouraging environment where participants can learn, grow, and build confidence.

By working consistently with the same group throughout the season, the club aims to strengthen continuity, create real impact, and reinforce its commitment to inclusion and accessibility within the Dubai community. For EDSA, the partnership provides access to a new sports environment where participants can enjoy structured basketball activities, interact with professional role models, and feel part of a wider sporting family.

Throughout the next five months, Dubai Basketball will deliver a series of on-court sessions designed to promote teamwork, communication, confidence, and social interaction in a fun and supportive setting.  Activities will be adapted to individual needs, ensuring every participant feels comfortable, included, and able to enjoy positive experiences on the court. In addition to training sessions, participants will be invited to attend a Dubai Basketball home game, where they will be recognized as part of the One Team program.

The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable, meaningful collaboration that promotes visibility, participation, and community integration for individuals with down syndrome.
