Turk Telekom Basketball Club is proud to launch an inclusive One Team program with the main objective of promoting disability equality and social integration. The OT program's goals include supporting the physical, social, and psychological development of the participants, promoting teamwork and cooperation through basketball training, and raising awareness of disability equality in society.
There will be 16 participants with Down syndrome aged 12 to 36, who will benefit from a structured environment that fosters skill development and social interaction. They will have a unique opportunity to build relationships with a professional sports club, creating unforgettable experiences such as meeting ambassadors and participating in games. To ensure effective training, the program will have one private coach trained in adaptive coaching methods and one program director for supervision and support. Additionally, 2 or 3 volunteers will assist with logistics and participant support during training sessions.
In summary, each week will focus on a specific life skill or value, integrated with basketball training. The Turk Telekom One Team program is designed to create a positive and inclusive environment that empowers participants, enhances their skills, and promotes social integration within the community.
