About the program:
Zenit St. Petersburg is starting a new One Team journey along with three partners: the Correctional School No. 5, the Center for the Blind, and the Deaf Girls’ Olympic Team. The main partner is the school, which specializes in working with children who have special health capabilities, namely with impairments in oral and written speech. The program is aimed at uniting the children, fostering cohesion and the showing value of everyone in the team. Between 12 and 20 participants, aged 14 to 17, are participating in weekly on-court sessions at Zenit Basketball Academy and other local gyms, with each session last between 2-2.5 hours. The objective of the program is to help each participant develop important life skills such as motivation, confidence, communication, and social integration, as well as keeping the children interested in basketball and enabling them to become part of the One Team Zenit family.
