About the program: Since 2017 Ratiopharm Ulm has been working with social partner Lebendshilfe Senden, which helps and educates disabled young people and attempts to increase the wider public’s understanding and acceptance. The club has created a team called ‘BBU Specials’, containing 18 players aged between 14 and 21, who have online sessions for approximately 40 minutes every Thursday from January to May. The club is planning to come back on court as soon as the pandemic conditions allow. One of the main goals of the program is to involve the kids in all club activities during the season, further promoting their social engagement and minimizing the social barriers between the group from Lebenshilfe Senden and Ratiopharm Ulm’s other athletes.
