**About the program:**    

Virtus Segafredo Bologna is working with a new social partner this season called Open Group. It is a new generation social enterprise that combines culture and inclusion, operating in the social and educational fields, and it deals with disabilities, addictions, housing emergencies and school support, among many other things. This season, the club is focusing on bringing refugees with different backgrounds together to enable a rich cultural exchange and to empower these individuals through the power of basketball, while educating on social values and improving life skills, such as communication, respect, empathy, problem solving and decision making. The program involves 15 participants aged between 13 and 17 from December 2023 to April 2024. The club hopes that the participants will experience being part of Virtus Segafredo Bologna by taking part in the One Team sessions and growing together at the facilities. Apart from the active involvement of Daniel Hackett as a One Team Ambassador, the club will also involve its players, staff and female players in its program to have the participants feel a sense of belonging by being part of a big family.
