By reaching the first place game, Cedevita has secured its best finish in a qualifier after three times previously taking fourth place
U18 Cedevita makes history, sinks U18 Ulm to win Group A



U18 Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana beat the home side U18 ratiopharm Ulm 74-85 to win Group A of the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Ulm qualifier, reaching Sunday’s first-place game. Both teams finished the group stage with 2-1 record, but Cedevita won the group because of the win in this head-to-head clash.
The team from the Slovenian capital will next play in the first-place game of a NextGen qualifier for the first time in club history. Cedevita’s previous best finish in a qualifier was fourth place, which it took three times.
Cedevita’s opponent will be either U18 Mega Super Belgrade or U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, and the winner of the first-place game will earn a right to play at the NextGen Final in Athens in late May.
Cedevita’s win over Ulm came behind a strong fourth quarter, which Cedevita won 17-29. Maks Ciperle led the winners with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, while Cameron Houindo had 16 points and 7 rebounds. Bine Pregli added 12 points in a win. Teo Milicic had 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists for Ulm, while Paul Plato scored 15 and Yanu Slingerland collected 13 points plus 7 rebounds in a loss.
