Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv will be without center Zach Hankins for the next two to three weeks following an MRI scan that revealed a bone bruise above his ankle.
Hankins experienced persistent discomfort above his ankle after Sunday’s Israeli League game against Ness Ziona and was immediately removed from the court for further evaluation. Subsequent MRI results confirmed a bone contusion in the lower leg, with no fracture detected – a relatively mild but still limiting injury for the big man.
The big man joined Maccabi two weeks ago to add size and a back-to-the-basket presence to the frontcourt. He played 5 minutes in his EuroLeague debut last week - a victory over Valencia Basket - and has made two appearances in domestic action.
