A German derby will give ALBA (4-17) the chance to claim consecutive wins for the first time this season with a visit from Bayern (8-13), which has lost all four games in 2024.
Pablo Laso, Bayern: 'Playing against ALBA is always a big head-to-head'

ALBA, which downed ASVEL on Friday behind 13 points and 8 rebounds from Yanni Wetzell, is looking for revenge after a comfortable opening-round home victory for Bayern, 80-68, led by 17 points from Sylvain Francisco and Isaac Bonga's double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Bonga has averaged only 4.3 points in the last six games so will be eager for a return to form.
Israel Gonzalez, ALBA head coach
"Even though we know that the games against Bayern are something special, we have to approach this derby like any other game in the EuroLeague. For us, it’s another opportunity to compete, to fight until the end and to improve. And maybe, we’ll get our first EuroLeague home win against them."
Pablo Laso, Bayern head coach
"Playing against ALBA is always a big head-to-head, in Germany and also in the EuroLeague, because we are the two German teams. For us it is an important game, always!"
Gabriele Procida, ALBA player
"In our first game against Bayern this season, we managed to win the first half and control the game. But we didn't keep up the level of energy in the second half, so we want to do better this time. We expect a physical game and a lot of energy from both teams. The games against Bayern are always special and our fans will also be a little extra motivated on Thursday."
Vladimir Lucic, Bayern player
"German derby ahead, that's always nice! ALBA is in ascending form, they won their last game against ASVEL. The two upcoming games (against Berlin and Chemnitz) are crucial and very important for us. Anyway, the upcoming period until the Top Four weekend is very crucial for us and can change the direction of the season."
